** ATI RADEON 7950 SERIES NOW IN STOCK & AVAILABLE!! **

Wow... £350... for a card that ends in 50...

Why on earth are ATI selling two top end single GPU cards -.-

Let's hope Kepler competes and goes for lower prices. Price war would certainly be nice.

A price war would be nice but I'm not holding my breathing.

It seems Nvidia and AMD are placing performance and therefore price-points at slightly different levels to each other. AMD also seem to be increasing their product range. There seems to be a lot more cards t han there used to be, no?

It's a good thing. More choice is always good for consumers. I'm reasonably tempted to get but I don't see much of a benefit over my 6970 yet, will wait for drivers/price drops but I'd say anyone on a 5000 series card that avoided the 6000 series at £320-£350 has a very decent option here, once overclocked.

Why on earth sign every post you make? Because you want to or just because you can?

I'm a bit gutted because in the US the most expensive 7950 card sells for 317pounds. Why is it so much more expensive here?

Have you factored in sales tax/VAT?

American websites do not includes sales tax because it varies between each of the 50 states. The sales tax american customers pay is added during checkout whereas here in the UK it is (mostly) displayed before because the same rate applies to the whole of the country.

First of AMD's 40nm vs first of AMD's 28nm
5850 = £200 to 7950 = £350 (+75%)
5870 = £300 to 7970 = £430 (+43%)

That's all I am going to say.

Can we get the XFX DD card on sale instead of the sapphire one? pretty please? Haha <3
I've no interest in getting any of these two cards with only one fan :X

I don't understand AMD's pricing strategy. Its good to see Ocuk have plenty stock on launch but the pricing is too close to a 7970 for my liking.

Their cards were underpriced hence why they were out of stock for so long. I'm not sticking up for AMD's new pricing scheme just pointing it out.

Anyone have any experience with gigabyte graphics cards? Really like the look of it and with 3 fans im guessing the cooling should be quite good hopefully it has some good overclocking ability as well

Apparently the XFX is noisier than a reference card, whereas the Powercolour one is getting good reviews.
