It was comical timing really. The amount of destroyed explosive points I got though, yours must have been packing some serious sh...

Must get myself onto TS next time, can't always use a mic but can listen to the instructions and banter.. :)
 
I've just played my first couple of rounds with my new Asus Xonar. It was like taking cotton wool out of my ears! And to think I thought BF3 sounded good through the onboard. Just plain crazy. Even managed to get the turn on a couple of people trying to sneak up on me.

I would as well although i can understand DG not wanting to go down that road. I am taking steps to finding out myself though and hope to have access to that information in time. Nothing to do with DG i would like to add.

I couldnt believe any of the regulars would do that, especially all the lovely chaps that venture into TS.

yeah with a decent sound card bf games are good as are most games. i had a issue last year where i had to have my card out for about two weeks when i put it back in i vowed never to use onboard again !

as for naming cheaters like said not my job but the ocuk servers are not riddled with them just some odd members.

You should get on TS, Get a £10 headset from your local Pc merchant or a good one from Overclockers and join us for MOAR McDestruction with fries!!!
 
Doesn't BF3 use (same as BC2) a fully software sound engine so really all that matters is the quality of the DACS on your soundcard? Pretty sure that's right, and as such a lot of onboard sound cards are actually fine for BF3 and BC2.

I'll have to compare my Xonar Essence ST vs my onboard sometime.

Compared my onboard soundcard with my usb soundcard, the usb soundcard is better quality, the onboard soundcard sounded flat.

Check out my K/D....I'd say i'm an obvious candidate for hacking........I can't be that good surely..........cough..

Not with such a "positive" K/D ratio......

I'm surprised about that - most usb sound cards kind of suck.

It would be interesting to know the exact model of the usb sound card and the mobo - see if your experience matches the supposed quality of the dacs on the cards.

I've always found that my onboard sound has more punch to it, which is great for music but not so for games.....The drums stand out better with onboard...

But it would be nice to have information that would let me see whos been banned for cheating in other games, or where these cheaters use private less obvious hacks from your typical aim bots. A guid is unique, so if someone is a cheater in COD4 it will show no matter what. In my eyes once a cheater, always a cheater.

I've just spent 10 days solid sat at my PC, I haven't changed my Y fronts in weeks......"they're only held together by skidmarks"....So clean might not the right term............;)

Hmm I've never owned someone else's testicle, now might be the time to start hacking....

Its vintage ball thats all ill say. I'll stop there as this post is going in a direction that was not intended.

I need to speak with you, Mak, Gloves, Ritchie and Beardy on TS later. Gonna get you guys some basic admin rights for my server so that you can control things (to some extent :p) when im not around in the evening. My girlfriend is getting fed up with me constantly checking battlelog everytime i hear a beep. :D

It will enable you to kick out any chat abusers, moaning berks and hackers or people that cry a lot as well as some other bits and bobs.
