Is this rig any good???

New rig: Decided I should re-model my plan, the last one was too expensive and crappy:

MSI 760GM-E51 (FX) AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) Motherboard

AMD Bulldozer FX-4 Quad Core 4100 Black Edition 3.60Ghz (Socket AM3+) Processor

500W PSU

1GB GeForce GT 520

500GB SATA HDD

mATX case

4GB Corsair RAM (1333MHz)

Samsung S222BB 22x DVD+/-RW SATA Black - OEM.

This is my list, what cables do I need? If there is anything I'm missing, let me know, so I can get it on the list.

Thanks

So, is this to be used for gaming itself? Or just as a server?

Most people would argue that Intel are better than AMD at pretty much every price range....

Also 500W PSU? Which one? Don't get a cheap one, not worth the money.

All the cables you need should come with it.

1) Why are you looking at a FX-4 That will perform about the same as a Pentium 1155.

2) Also the M/B you have picked is not a *True* AM3+ it is a AM3 with a bios update, So if the bios is outdated you will need to update it which will be tricky without a working PC.

Also The_Dragon Stop posting just edit your post.

Don't get a cheap PSU... it'll go bang and take other parts with it.

And don't get a Bulldozer, because they're slow and poor value for money.

Mobo and cpu wont work out of box.. Bios update required and unless hes got another cpu or computer its impossible.. Try again ;D
