Just got a Drobo. How to set up as 1 drive?

I assume I just reformat. What do I do about creating a file system limit. At the moment I have 4.75 TB but within a few months I'll add another 6TB probably. Can I just set it up to say 16TB and leave it as that?
My understanding is that it'll take until I reach 16TB before another volume is needed to be created?

To get one volume instead of two will require you to change your smaller hard drives to larger ones, try replacing your 500 Gig, 250 Gig with a 2TB, which would give you a single volume of at least 4 TB.

Just checked on their web site, its 3.63 TB
