Yep, thats what I did a few days ago.

10mb > 30mb for an extra £5 a month, soon to be 60mb (April)

Seriously though, if you live in an area that has poor broadband, there are companies that will lay fibre and operate wireless broadband.

For example, the local community applied and got free installation providing more than 100 homes signed up, otherwise it's a £500 install.

We pay £25 per month for unlimited usage, and they guarantee 10Mb down/10Mb up. FYI I'm 5.02km from the base station, and have latency from 5-10ms on the PC and 20-30ms over wireless.
