They suck with pugs but really make the game in a proper vent group. Can't stand heal spec in a pug as no one peels, guards etc and you end up saving so many of the same people's arses match after match yet rarely does one look after you. Hard as hell to heal yourself through focus even with the pushback feat.

Once server transfers come in i'm going to have to transfer my toons over to one of the EU servers you guys play on, playing on a US server with people i've played with for years but they're all getting bored and not logging in these days.

oh i dont bother doing pvp on my healing sorc. for the very reasons you mention, its so hard dealing with anyone hitting you and keep yourself up let alone someone else in the team.
the pvp system just isnt my thing in this game, i dont fancy grinding people like mobs in Ilum (if i understand it correctly that is, you need to get open world pvp marks dont you?)

if there was a dual spec system i might try another spec as i hear people crying over how OP and 'easy' some sorcerer's are...
 
Havent checked this thread for a while so Im not sure what the PvP gear debate is about.

I will say one thing though, if I have to do any Flashpoints or Raids to compete on an equal footing in warzones, Ill be unsubbing faster than a fast thing.

Damn it, why are operatives so much more powerful compared to assassins? Really annoying being beaten upon by someone half your level with half the available skills and talent points available. It's not all skill.

OP's and Scoundrels are the lowest played class, they struggle no end in PvE and once out of stealth in PvP are a free kill if you know how to play them. Sure, the initial attack from stealth is very annoying but its just the same as my BH launching 3 ranged missiles at you in 3secs doing anything from 4-8k dmg.

Yes, I have a Scoundrel (38) with my highest crit around 2.5k-2.8k really enjoy it but the DPS is nothing like what my Sniper at a lower level can unleash. I can throw out 2-4k hits instantly un-interupted, cannot be knocked back, can AoE knockback others, can slow, can melee root, can ranged stun, have two shields, get absorb shield entering cover, can AoE boom players, can DoT, get 30-40% speed boost exiting cover and instant finishers....

What I would suggest for your Sith Assassin is go the middle tree, it allows you to Maul from stealth for massive crit and Maul straight away with massive force regen. Slap a slow on your target and use instant attacks and build up to Maul again, re-enter stealth and repeat.

Also, a final little tip is use expertise and crit/surge packs before you open up with any class as the damage will be significant.
 
Why are all the +33 power crystals Pink?! Oh, Im sorry. I mean 'Megenta'...
Such a good way to instill fear as a Sith, wield a pink saber....

All the red ones on the trade network are all +crit, with a few being endurance.
I could have dealt with Purple, but pink? Ugh...

They missed out big time with lightsaber colours in the game, it was one of the things that could really have gone towards making people feel unique. Instead everyone's got the same colours, or pink. Pink, which featured so heavily in the films :|

It's the same with armours and robes.

I'd like a plane old black robe, hood down and hood down option with it.

The closest I found was on Corellia which is a Hood up robe, but it's grey. Not black :(

Not really, you can't have stupid colours because of lore reasons.

They messed up by letting you acquire opposite faction colours so easy.

And how unique can you be with a limited colour palette in lore, films and books?

Good god latex, sometimes I think if they turned your toon into a giant sausage you'd find a way to defend it :rolleyes:

Both KOTORs were full of different coloured crystals, who cares what the bloody lore allows, especially when they already have a pink one in game!
 
If your gonna pull the lore card then feel free to point out all the pink/magenta sabers in the films cause i must have missed em.

Oh and point out all the Sith that use purple sabers as well...oh wait...
 
I personally think they should have limited the saber colors to that of the movies. Red for Sith and Green or Blue for Jedi. So many times I have glanced behind me, seen two big red lightsabers running towards me, panicked only to realise that they are Jedi so not going to attack me..

What is the point of the spawn system in The Voidstar and Huttball? If 1 person on your team dies, you are then at a disadvantage, so more of your team die, giving you even more of a disadvantage. In the Voidstar I was sitting in the spawn with 5 others waiting to be let out, how are you supposed to hold 2 objectives with only 2 players outside of spawn...

Terrible system.
 
But then if you could just run straight back to the fight as a defender theres practically no way the attackers could ever plant a bomb.
Already hard enough to plant if the defense has a couple decent sorcs/sages doting everyone since outside of premades nobody removes dots (whether its down to just not knowing the can remove them or if its the UI being so useless for showing them i dunno).

But on the flipside, the bomb can be planted and go off during the time the defenders are stuck in spawn, they then have a massive disadvantage trying to chase the attackers through to the next doors...

It is the UI, in all other MMO's you can easily spot what is happening, in Swtor the UI is about as helpful as taking a shower in mud...

Bioware boasted about their amazing UI, Maps and Companions, and yet they are all either on par or worse than everything that has been in all MMO's before it...

But complaining for the sake of complaining is pointless.

If your point was valid, i'd probably agree with you, but considering it doesnt make sense in any way, its not valid. :)

A lot of people care about the lore. And a pink lightsaber is part of the lore. :p

If you follow the lore then Sentinels should be forced to use yellow sabers, consulars green i think and guardians blue.
