*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

On the republic side there's easily over 40-50. The Immortals

There's over 200 members last I checked.

Sadly the Empire side, Dark Immortals is extremely small. Baeyne and myself are the main active members.
Wab said they'll be working on growing the Empire side though.

Cheers, guess I'll roll on Niman then.

Hey Wab, what's going on? I've yet to run into you or the Immortals on Belsavis or Illum.

Are you all afraid of the Lone Dark Immortal? :p ;)

I've only seen a few of you in normal pvp warzone and well...they failed to live up to the name Immortals.

I'm easy to spot, no PvP gear on haha

a snack thats be all :p a snack hardly worth the effort, and a bloody pink light saber to boot:eek:, what you trying to kill us with laughter :D

So, after getting a little excited a couple of days ago :o, then having a nice day yesterday, (which included finally sourcing a schematic for Hooligan's Headgear on the AH :D) today has sucked once more.

Firstly there seems to be a new fashion for most of the Imp team to 'guard' one of the points in Alderaan, and secondly Bioware still haven't fixed the cover bug in Voidstar! The Voidstar one is the really irksome one tbh. :(

Strength (Bonus: Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior) – Increases melee damage and critical strike chance.

Secondary Statistics
Your secondary statistics include things like Power, Accuracy, and Surge which for the most part provide across the board benefits for attacks and heals.

Accuracy Rating– Increases the chance that any of your attacks will hit the target. Any accuracy over 100 percent will reduce the targets defense.

Power – Provides an increase in damage and healing for all abilities. There are also Tech, Force, and Healing specific power stats available on certain gear and modifications.

Alacrity – Decreases the activation time for all of your abilities both cast and channeled.

Surge – Increases the percentage of damage dealt and amount healed during a critical.

Critical Rating – Increases the chance of a critical attack or heal.

Defensive Statistics
Your defensive stats will tell you how well you’re going to fare when you end up taking damage, and include your armor rating and resistances/ reductions.

Armor – Reduces the amount of damage received from kinetic and energy based attacks.

Damage Reduction – The four types of damage reduction in the game are kinetic, energy, internal, and elemental. While all four can be increased by finding gear with those specific reductions, kinetic and energy are also bolstered by your armor rating.

Shield Chance – Any classes that are able to equip an off-hand shield will see this stat which represents the chance of that shield activating. You will also find an absorption rating, which depending on the shield, is how much damage it will take when activated.

Defense Chance – Increases your chance to avoid attacks all together. It’s broken down into four categories including melee parry, ranged deflect, force resistance, and tech resistance.

Attribute List.

Thanks.

Was playing some pvp (hurt ball) last night with friends, Won 7 games in a row just cause we played as a team.

The Sith Sorc pull spell (where you pull them and reduce agro) is a god send in that game type, if the ball carrier gets knocked down just pull him back up to the goal line :D

Another patch:

Classes and Combat

General

Surge rating has been re-balanced. It now reaches diminishing returns the same way as other damage ratings, and its per point damage contribution has been reduced by approximately 10%.

Bounty Hunter

Mercenary

Arsenal

Stabilizers: Correctly adds pushback resistance to Unload.

Trooper

Commando

Gunnery

Steadied Aim: Correctly adds pushback resistance to Full Auto.

Companion Characters

General

Some taxis that failed to re-summon companions upon reaching their destination now properly re-summon them.
Companions no longer indicate they wish to speak with you when you are not yet eligible for their next conversation.
If a player is invited to a nearly full group and declines, that player is no longer prevented from summoning a companion.

Crew Skills

Crafting Skills

Non-stackable crafting materials are now refunded if the crafting assignment is canceled.
The number of non-stackable crafting materials a player has is now correctly reflected in the crafting UI.

Biochem

Crafting Exotech consumables now results in three items with a chance of one additional item on a crafting critical.

Flashpoints and Operations

General

Conversation rewards like Social and Alignment Points and Companion Affection are gained more consistently during Hard Mode Flashpoints.

Flashpoints

Boarding Party

In Hard Mode, players are no longer blocked from re-entering the Flashpoint in some circumstances when the group is defeated during the encounter with Jorland.

Kaon Under Siege

Expulsor Droid now drops the correct loot.

Operations

Karagga’s Palace

The chest in 8-man Nightmare Mode now spawns properly after defeating Karagga.

Items

General

Unique items can no longer be traded to a player that has the maximum number of that item in their inventory.
A confirmation dialog is now displayed when purchasing items with commendations or tokens and when purchasing expensive items.

Legacy

A confirmation dialog is now displayed when choosing a Legacy name. The UI has been updated to better communicate Legacy name decisions.

Missions and NPCs

General

Small amounts of Social Points are no longer lost in some circumstances (rarely at the beginning of a Flashpoint or in some mission conversations).
Bonus Series missions on Tatooine (Republic and Imperial) can now be abandoned.

Missions

Imperial

Eve of Destruction: This mission progresses properly even if the player does not immediately travel to Corellia.

Republic

Need to Impress: Resolved a dialogue issue with Ambassador Jannik that blocked progress in this mission.
Rapid Response: This mission can now be failed if the player leaves the mission phase while attempting to destroy the Bomb-Carrying Droids.
Taris Bonus Series: The cinematic for the objective "Return to Storm" now completes properly even if the player has not finished Reconstruction Efforts.

PvP

General

Fixed an issue causing players to not receive Warzone Win mission credit upon winning a Warzone match when the first player to enter the zone leaves the zone before the match concludes.

World PvP

Ilum

Players are now notified when they kill a player but do not receive credit due to rate limits.

Miscellaneous Bug Fixes

Players are no longer occasionally disconnected from the game when interacting with a mailbox.
Players no longer lose mouse click functionality in some circumstances after pressing multiple mouse buttons.

There coming thick and fast. :)

This has turned into a single player game for me, still in the mid twenties and the zones are nearly empty at the times I can play. I have 5 heriocs in my QL and dispite spamming LFG half the time, no one wants to help. I think a lot of the player pop has outleveled me.

I tend to out level an area just doing the solo quests anyway. Still stuck on Balmorra but only a few solos to go. Can't wait to get off this stinking planet.

This happens a lot, people just dont seem to want to group up. I have had it on many planets.

I think that they missed a trick with the social points - you should receive a standard amount for grouping and helping someone through a quest, say 20 or so for every heroic quest you help with and see though to completion. I know I would group more than once for an heroic if that was the case.

Why can I not spell heroic - lol - corrected!

Hi guys, I bought the game last weekend and enjoying it so far. I thought it might not run too well on my system (i5 760, 8GB ram, HD 5850) but seems to be absolutely fine and only seems to slow down in certain open areas or areas with lots of players - is this normal? Or would upgrading my graphics card to say a 6950 help? I left the graphics options all on their default settings which was everything set to high @ 1080p.

No that's about normal, running on a very similar system and the only time I really slow down is on the Imperial Fleet where there's a few hundred people there.
