About time we got some (non-Street fighter) beat em ups on the PC, especially since 360 pads are so prevalent. I really miss Soul Calibur on the DC, would be class on modern hardware, with Steam friends, voice slagging, sorry, chat and leagues. Is it a lack of interest? Would you like to see a class PC fighting game (that isn't Street Fighter :D)?

I bought a 2nd hand 360 just to have a quick blast on the likes of the new MK and Tekken 6. Sometimes you want to have a quick game on something like a good beat-em-up and the last time anything half decent was out for those of us who weren't into Street Fighter was VF2

Mortal Kombat has been on the PC for years.

Just my opinion but honestly, PC's aren't the best for Beat Em Up games. FPS'ers and RTS's are made for the PC, everything else with the exception of racing games should stay on consoles.

(Never really saw the point of using a pad on a PC anyways, isn't that what consoles are for)

Some games are just better with a pad Jay, GTAIV and Batman AA for example. This whole console vs PC thing really should stop, most publishers want games on all formats, perhaps with the PC last so they can wring every last penny out of £40 console games. If Valve took on porting Namco for Steam exclusive games, how cool would that be?! brb, going to MSN Gabe ;)

I think it's a lot like the Monster Hunter and Dark Souls situations, both are made and published by Japanese companies whose home market is console and handheld oriented. There is a perceived lack of demand on PC and the threat of piracy puts publishers off both in terms of private and commercial piracy (commercial in the sense of an arcade machine running the PC version and the owner avoiding the cabinet price.).

If games are better played with a pad, like the 2 you mentioned then they should stick to consoles, IMO.

Majority of people these days have a PC and a console anyways

Yeah, never understood why it's the one genre that doesn't get ported. I agree about pads, but there are lads out there who even when a game is more suited towards one, still prefer mouse and keys. With 360's costing less than a half decent SSD upgrade though, if you can get one and just run it through line in on your sound card.

So you think you cant enjoy fifa on the pc with a pad? or gta, etc etc etc, these games are far better looking on pc so why would a person with a pc not play them on a pc.

Go get yourself a 360 pad for your pc, works great for games that suit it.

I've fingers crossed that Sega might consider PC with their next VF game. They seem to be digging Steam at the moment, with the unexpected porting (and half decent sales) of Sonic games

BlazBlue Calamity Trigger is superb and also has free to play vs 360 players so you can always find a game online.

I would say Streets of Rage Remake, but Sega threw their toys out of the pram and shut it down :(

EDIT:

I would love a modern day streets of rage game on the pc. Who's with me?

I am but someone already did it. Google "Bombergames Streets of Rage remake" - a free download basically with soooo many extras but no longer available (not officially at least).

I don't play football games at all, but yes, from what I've seen of my mates playing Fifa on a 50" tv hooked up to a PS3 it looks loads better and easier using a pad, just don't see why you would try and merge the 2, I mean, you might as well start using a keyboard on the PS3, which you can for Unreal.

Keyboards belong with PC's and pads belong on consoles, that (as well as the cost) is what seperates them and thats how I think it should stay.

Otherwise you might as well start making PS3's with replacable graphics cards, ram etc....
