Who here owns a Renaultsport?

This graph seems to suggest otherwise.

I think the Storm alloys I have look like a cross between a 2118 and 15" Turini.

Shame they're in the garage in need of a refurb and dont have any tyres on

I think I am going to have trouble selling the F1s, one of them has a bit of the rim missing.
For the price I think I'll end up selling them for I might just keep them, or try to get it repaired first.

Just rang a local shotblaster / powder coaters and they want £35 a wheel to blast and coat my other wheels. Not too bad, till they said it was a 3-4 week turnaround at the moment as they're so busy.

Thats a nice cherry picked RR graph there, what about the second bloke on that same RR day with an RS2 that performed considerably worse than that?

Also my statement stands, wheres the mid range grunt?? aka the essense of an RS clio!! i've seen plenty of standard ish cars make 160-165 ft lb's on the stock cast manifold, that graph clearly shows...none of that.

I dont have a lot of knowledge of this but surely 150 ft lbs across nearly all the rev range is better than 160ish for just a small part of it?

He is, plus I'm yet to see a standard car make 165ftlb.

The cammed Clio graph that was posted a few posts ago barely makes that. Most of them seem to have a little peak around 140ftlb, which doesn't really mean much.

I still fancy some cams in mine although having said that I doubt I'll still own it when it needs a belt change, probably be on Clio number 100222 with the frequency at which I change cars.

And I'm still desperate to rip most of the interior out and fit buckets as I love the way it feels / drives like that. Can't do that with this one though. Tempted by one bucket so there is still access to the rear seats but does that look crap?

It's only worth stripping if you get a cage.

Buckets without harnesses and a cage is bad.

I'd like to do it eventually, but I first need to get the car to such a standard where it'll be competitive enough to make it worth going the full hog and leaving the standard production class for sprints (something I plan on doing a lot this year!).

For that to happen, I need a new daily, too.

I'm pretty sure that normal seatbelts with buckets is a bad idea, too.

Unless you're really fat, they aren't going to be able to hug you like they should, owing to the sides of the seats?

Give me a shout, when you've decided what your doing with them.

The odd one pops up on CS.net every now and then.

I did have cheap crappy Monaco seats though which didnt have so much side support as the ones alexisonfire has (for example)

They were fine and I think using the original seatbelt is preferred to using harnesses with no cage.

@ Begbie I will let you know, will be when I've had the other ones refurbed and the tyres swapped over.
