The reason why we suggest 2 Per ltr which a lot of ppl do not realise is 1 coil is not enough. If you read on other forums you'll find ppl only using one coil later on down the line have problems in 1 ltr of liquid.

You got any links?

i have 2 litres of mayhems pastel, do i still need to use a kill coil then?

i though mayhems included everything you need, im just checking :)

Just reviving a thead thats a few days old, is it advisable to use this stuff if I have not already, or can I get away with it?

I am using a mixture of De-ionised water and EK blue coolant die mixture.

a coil is only required if you are not using a coolant with additives or DI water without a biocide.

1 drop of the new biocide per 1 ltr is enough. Then 1 drop ever 3 months.. 1 x 10ml bottle will last you longer than you will own your loop. :) not bad for the price when you consider it.

Yeah if anyone actually gets the new stuff in , still can't see it for sale anywhere yet.

i had to drain my loop 2 days ago and had to stick to the old stuff :(

well no you dont really if you prepare the use of the silver in the water before you add it to your system.

There are sevral way of doing this.

1) is to use the silver and make a Colloidal
2) Add the silver into the liquid weeks before you use the liquid.

Number one is faster than number 2.

Silver collide is very easy to make but will take 2 silver coils to start with and a 9 Volt (square battery). Simply wire up the two silver coils one positive and one negative. Put them about 2 to 3cm apart and then leave them suspended in the water for about 1/2 hour to 1 Hour. that will put enough silver into the water. Now after that hour is over you have Colloidal silver water to start to use in you system and the two coils as well.

The best way of telling how much Colloidal silver you have though is to buy a cheap TDS meter (about £9.99) and test the water before you start then test the water after you finished.

There are many ways of making Colloidal silver using a quick goggle search. One thing to remember though once you do this the water you use becomes conductive almost immediately.

Yeh you could do that :) how ever when the silver is placed in the loop afterwards it wont be as effective as having two coils per 1 Ltr per loop :).

Yeah you mentioned this, can you link to to the forum post where they said they had problems with just one coil? As far as I see it is a matter of surface area. Who cares if it take two weeks instead of one to reach silver ion equilibrium in the solution?
