I dont like facebook

It's easier for me to check up on stuff via my smartphone's Facebook app than it is to load up the web browser, type in their address, wait for it to load over 3G because they don't have a mobile geared version of the site, browse to their updates pages or whatever, wait for it to load again, pinch to zoom in.....ETC.

Facebook = Convenience in the most inconvenient of situations.

I hate it too, that's why I don't use it. Can't say I've ever bothered about the fact others do however, I just don't like the whole share your world with the internet but I'm a fogey.

Well I don't use any of it for the above reason, that and because everyone else uses them I don't. I would rather be me as an individual, then the same as all the other robots using it posting pointless updates and what ever if it is you do on it.

Who posts that kind of thing? People like that shouldn't be on your "friends" list to begin with!

everyone does it(a LOT of people), they say before they go toilet, outside get up from the bed anything, they just telling everyone everything as in where they are what they are doing so if some guy wanna steal anything they know he/she is on the toilet etc

Now we come down to same old BS.

You know you can block those people's replies, or just remove them from friends lists. You only post the information you want to post. You have to share very few details if you want to. There are a load of security/priacy settings that you can set, depending how you feel.
Game and other app notifications you can block.

I find most people who dislike Facebook have no idea about Facebook and assume it has to be used in such a manner you add evryone who sends a friends request and you have no option but to read their statuses and app/game updates non of which is true. It is highly customisable and you can use it how it suits you.

I only came into this thread because I hoped it would contain a link to a Youtube video of a Facebook-themed Dreadlock Holiday spoof.

Sorely disappointed.

Oh wow, that reply made me laugh :D

But on topic, I do find it annoying that every website, advert, TV program etc now references Facebook or Twitter.

However from their point of view it does make sense, they are huge social networks that millions of people access regularly, so they have access to a much bigger market by including them in advertising etc.

No you dont understand, in school even if you dont know and your not friends withthe person, you must be there friend and if you block them they find out and someone goes tells them and set you up and say and cause a fight etc
