You miss his point, which is that many companies now appear to use FB as the only or main source of customer contact.

In last years inclement weather for example the only way to get live service updates from the local BUS company of all people was to use the bus companies facebook page.

They have a perfectly good website which they could have used. I can see how this would be frustrating if you've chosen not to use Facebook, along with numerous movies, new products, etc etc being advertised with only a Facebook link to find out more.

I guess it is easier and quicker to update a FB page than it is a website. But I can see how it would be annoying if you hated FB.

Yes thats what i mean the way its going, they may aswell have only one site facebook and its your homepage and no other sites if they do like this
