*** The official Sony Xperia S thread ***

Question!

The Sony Tablet is Playstation Certified and a really cool feature is that you can use your Dualshock PS3 controller to play games on your tablet.

The Xperia S is also PS Certified. If we connect the phone to a TV to play a game, would we be able to pair the Dualshock controller with the phone and play games with it?!

I imagine it would as what would be the point of playing PS1 games with touchscreen controls.

I think that SE logo on the back will go - and that Sony logo on the front has beeen Photoshopped on.

Sony have brought Sony Ericsson so it will just be a Sony logo when released......Got this email this morning.

I wanted to give you some more information about Sony’s intended purchase of Sony Ericsson and what it means for you.

Some things won’t change at all. For example, your existing warranty will remain completely valid and you’ll still get the same great service and support that you’ve been used to. But you will see some important new benefits.

Your Sony Ericsson phone already features great Sony technology. But in future, you can expect even more leading-edge Sony capabilities – and easy connectivity with other Sony products including TVs, PCs and tablets to allow you to share content seamlessly across multiple screens. There will also be more opportunities to enjoy premium entertainment content from Sony including music and film services from the Sony Entertainment Network.

The first smartphone product from Sony, available this Spring, will be the new Sony Xperia™ S

This phone is looking rather good, especially the camera which from some reviews I have seen has been piped at being better than the N9.

I knew this some while ago - I was talking about the actual picture that looking shopped - with the sony logo shopped on over the se one.

You would think you would see some advertising by now considering Sony are spending some big cheese on marketing.

There's probably no point in spending money on marketing when we're still three weeks away from launch. I'm sure Sony Mobile will hit hard on launch going by past SE launches.

Those deals are good, looks like it will be available cheaply.

The general consensus seems to be that the camera is better than the Nokia N8, which is pretty amazing.

I'm tempted to get one.

The camera and video on this do seem very impressive. If the LCD panel is decent I don't see any reason why this won't be an excellent phone.
