Pakistan v England Test Series *** Spoilers ***

For the 2nd game in a row, Pakistan wasted their review trying to get rid of Pietersen. Pietersen didn't do too badly today, but we have others who can open so perhaps he should drop down the order again..

Hopefully Trott and Cook can both score big runs today and push us to 300.
 
I think that drop catch on Cook earlier when he was on around 28 will be crucial, he looks like he's on for another effortless hundred.
 
Another 'decent' score but by no means impossible, time to see if Pakistan make another hash of it.

England could have gone for it at the end and slogged out with so few wickets lost and pushed for 270-280 but it was more a controlled, steady innings, just as well for us. Well played again Cook.

Slightly confident, but depends how the first 10 overs go. Someone really needs to step up today.

Pakistan gaining control here, England need to start getting some wickets.

EDIT: Just as I say that, England get a wicket. Could go either way from here

117 needed from 110 balls with 7 wickets in hand. Should be a doddle, just keep playing for singles, no need to even take any risks. Things are never that easy when Pakistan are batting though. :o
 
Finally a wicket, still think this total is too low though.

Englands problem is our main run scorers(Cook and Bopara) are both scoring at a steady rate however we can't get that big boost towards the end of the innings because our "Big hitters" (Morgan and Kieswetter) are so out of form that instead of speeding up the RR, they are slowing it down...

EDIT: Think Kieswetter should open, he can provide the big hitting at the start of the innings to take the pressure off Cook, Trott and Bopara.
 
All Pakistan need to do is keep knocking it into the spaces and getting singles until it comes to the last 3-4 overs. Some really silly shots so far have cost us big wickets and may cost us the game.
 
LOLAfridi...got some big hits then promptly loses his wicket, typical of him as usual...cant see Paks chasing down this total in all honesty...another win for England as usual with Cook leading the way with a century again.

Makes me wonder why Eng were so utterly inept in the test matches...our bowling line up hasnt changed much but yet not Eng are playing much better...
