****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I rooted my phone a while ago, but didn't bother putting a custom ROM on. When I switch my phone on, I get the yellow triangle. Is there a way to remove this? If something happens to my phone and I have to get it replaced, I'd rather not have something so obvious which shows that I was tinkering with it. :p

Usb Jig is the only way to fully get rid of flashing counts/yellow triangle(need to use an old bootloader though) find that here on the 2nd post in red writing(not responsible if you break your phone!!!) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278.

You can get rid of just the yellow triangle though by using the guide in the 2nd post of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399

If you run one of the new ICS builds then you can use this app to get rid of flashing count/yellow triangle http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114

Again not responsible if you break your phone & credits to the guys who released all these.

Unless you're running ICS the only way to get rid is by using a USB jig. You can get them from Ebay for about 99p.

edit: beaten to it.

it uses bluetooth, so 360 pads are a no-go. the emulator is probably n64oid (you'll have to google this), or mupenplus 64 AE which is available on the market

Thanks, I will try the emulator. If it works very well might have to get a PS3 controller or some other bluetooth one. Don't really like playing games with touchscreen, especially FPS.

n64 emulation works surprisingly well on the g2s, actually. It's a shame it's not as good on my touchpad because I much prefer playing on the 10" screen but yeah you will be impressed with it.

i'm sure it's lovely but it seems odd not to base it on ICS.

ICS is not a stable build yet, Still problems with the kernel, They are waiting for a properly stable/official base.

Don't blame them personally cause all the ICS bases I've tried are definitely not daily usage no matter what anyone says.

GB is much better than any unofficial ICS. GB has been super optimized by Google, Samsung and CheckROM during months..now it's very stable, smooth with a good battery life.

When there will be an official ICS Release we can't make a CheckROM ROM simply because we still need to find out what could be improved and how we could improve the system..

That being said, i think that we will stay happy with GB at least for another couple of months.

That's not what I meant. Everyone knows official ICS will be out probably next month. Just seems like an odd time to release yet another GB rom.

ADDED CheckROM Special Battery Bar MOD
ADDED CheckROM Special Swipe to Remove Notification
ADDED CheckROM Special Settings Control Panel in Settings>Display Setings

Amazing, trying it now!

I know what you are saying now but still it won't be 100% stable, I think this is the reason he is still building & improving GB. It isn't like ICS adds a whole lot of features on the SGS2 anyway.

I'll be sticking to GB for a while yet after finding out there will be no Sky Go support for ICS to begin with.

It is the reason, he even said in the v4 thread when people were "OMG Y U NO ICS WITH V5???" :)

I find it hard to agree with that. vanilla LPB was superb for me, no major issues and regular >24 hour battery life - easily as stable as any other rom ive tried. I'm on vanilla LPH now but im sure that's more of the same.

It works very well on my touchpad (bricked CM9 @ 1.9GHz) using a PS3 controller and touch profiles to map the analog sticks.

goldeneye's poor on mine for whatever reason.

On CheckROM V6 right now all 200+ apps back by Titanium backup, liking it so far, very smooth - will see how it goes, was a nightly CM9 for most of today which was lovely it a lot of ways but still not ready for me as a daily rom.

I checked out Checkrom V6 briefly, but no theme support through the kitchen yet. Anyone tried simply flashing ICS Domination? :)

Also, what's new with the Firmware? Wasn't V4 XWKK5?
