bald heads and spots (guys)

Don't know about you , but I always try to exhaust any other possibility before wasting a doctors time with something that could've been sorted over the counter.

This tbh...

A few spots on your head can probably be resolved by over the counter products - shouldn't have to be a medical issue unless it persists.

but if you go to the doctor you get the same over the counter stuff but free on prescription :p

just clippers on the sides and back.
ironicly i dont touch the middle and thats where the spots come and go. grrr lol.

Iirc, this can be caused by using clippers and how the cutting action effects folicles & regrowth.

Housemate at uni had this problem. He changed from clippers to a razor and it cleared up.

So either let it grow and go for an epic comb over, have it cut with scissors not clippers or shave it with a razor.

I have shaved my head with clippers for the last 5-6 years and used to suffer with spots regularly.

I used to shave about once a fortnight and was told it was something to do with multiple hairs trying to grow after being cut.

I now shave about once a month to give the hairs time to grow back correctly and the issue seems to have cleared up.

I might be wrong, but this sounds more like ingrowing hairs than spots so to speak. Could be worth shaving less often, or not at all, and see if it clears up?

Except, in the very part you quoted, he explains he doesn't clipper the middle, and that's where the spots appear :p

I have some red spots on my chest and back and use "Clearasil ultra" from boots or superdrugs.
They clear up in 2 or 3 days and you can see a good improvement after the first day.

I've been trimming my hair to a 0 for around 8-10 years and have never shaved. I've had similar for the past 2 years or so, so far I've found T-Gel shampoo works well to reduce the soreness, and 4-5 drops of tea-tree oil mixed with a conditioner works well to reduce the spots. The severity of the spots seems to increase with hair growth, so I try to have a haircut every week.

I've been to my GP and he prescribed me a course of tablets (can't remember the name) which worked well but the spots returned shortly after. Maybe I should have tried a longer course.

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion

I want to stab you to death, and then play around with your blood.
