Haha, was funny listening to that. Martin, it kept coming up that you were talking, but there was no sound from you. So like the problem you're having, but for everyone else. :confused:

Very weird, not sure why it was doing that. I've got my brothers spare headset to borrow now, should really invest in a better one though.

What does everyone use here?

no word as to when yet, but there are loads of fixes in there that i can't wait for. Choice highlights:

-Jet and Helicopter collisions should now properly result in the death of both vehicles.
-AA Missiles are more difficult to dodge in Jets, this was unintended behavior that created an imbalance against skilled pilots.
-Flares now more reliably distract missiles, especially for Helicopters.
-AA Missiles are more difficult to dodge in Jets, this was unintended behavior that created an imbalance against skilled pilots.
-AA Missiles should no longer detonate before hitting their target or a Flare/ECM chaff cloud.
-Slightly reduced the damage of Jet cannons against Aircraft. Damage is now only slightly higher than it was originally at launch.


-Fixed several issues with vaulting objects, especially for thin railings.

-The MAV will now be destroyed when running into a soldier or vehicle at high speed. It is still possible to strategically sacrifice your MAV on a soldier; it will be destroyed in the process.
-The MAV can no longer be used as an elevator.

-The M224 Mortar can no longer be deployed in an area that is out of combat for another team like a home base or other protected spawn.

Lol, wait for the sniper rage!

I didn't see much of a problem with using the MAV to kill people, if anything I'm far less likely to use it now. In fact, if I'm only using it for spotting now, then I doubt I will use it as you can spend ages in the MAV and earn very little points.
 
The RPK74M is a beast as a run and gun type support role and it got it's recoil reduced even further. G3 is going to be a beast now with a flash suppressor as well. Ive got 600 odd kills with the AN94 and they buff it even more. What is also odd is that the L85 was a lazer and now they make it even more a lazer.

I can not wait to for the patch to come out. It makes a lot more weapons more viable to use.

Get the MAV out on team deathmatch and I guarantee you'll finish the round with an MVP ribbon.
 
Jesus....I dont see a single thing about sorting the sound problems out, please tell me im missing something here.
Input lag, or no input happening, bullet lag etc.

-Fixed the Rate of Fire when the USAS and MK3A1 are equipped with FRAG rounds. All other shotguns correctly had a reduced rate of fire with frags, except the USAS and MK3A1.

USAS-12: Increased the initial recoil. Reduced the total pellets fired from 12 to 9. The USAS 12 has a higher ROF than other shotguns, this recoil change better balances that advantage and the pellets balance its damage output

should be renamed to usas 9 now :p

cant wait for this patch, these are the confirmed updates, with the possibilty of more things to be added.
 
Some nice updates.

I'm liking "Unguided tank rounds and RPGs will now instantly destroy Jets, Attack Helicopters, and Scout Helicopters". Shame that doesn't apply to grenade launchers too :p

so less damage from frag rounds, reduced ROF and increased recoil. Thoroughly nerfed i'd say.

If you notice the patch notes are across all platforms.

The PS3 patch notes may contain different fixes as its only an issue on the PS3. It does specifically say that these aren't final.About the only two that are missing from that list is the sound bugs, and the poor net code which means you get shot round corners. Sort those out and the game would be just about perfect i reckon.

Had a really **** night tonight. KDR ratio went down, and lost about 150 points from my skill level. Just couldn't kill anybody and was repeatedly being killed by the same low ranking people. I think some of this is down to using PDWs a lot which suck in 1v1 team death match mode that i was playing. But even when i resorted to the n00b gun - the famas, i was still getting owned. Rarely went anything more than slightly positive, and had a couple of games with negative KDR as well.

Hate it when you have a night like that, really didn't enjoy my time online at all tonight :(

Tonight this game highlights what a disaster it is in some ways.
Whats the deal with some level you start out holding all the bases, then if you get pushed back and lose them all, you dont have a way to spawn back into the game!? Me and a mate couldnt rejoin the game, what the hell?

Shotguns arnt one shot kill at very close range, I can put a few rounds into people in front of me, and no kills.
And im tired of having to jump on every little thing on the ground.

Also, whats with running up beside an empty tank..and have to wait a few secs before you can hit B to enter it?

Its interntional mate

Its called conquest assault. Was a very popular game mode in BF2142.

Stops people getting raped trying to come out of the uncap when they are getting really hammered. Idea is if the winning team can kill you all before you take another flag, they automatically win the game.

As for the shotguns, they are one hit kill if you get a good shot off. I was having great fun with the M26 underslung shotgun last week one shotting people.

As for the tank, never experienced that delay either. Sounds like it might be an issue either with a lagging server you were on, (would explain the hits not registering with your shotgun) or your internet being to blame.

I get this issue with choppers, especially the havoc, this has occured since that last patch came out.

It never occured when the game first came out and it's bloody annoying now.
 
Hi guys, does this:

-Guided Rockets will now only track ground targets, as originally intended.

Just refer to the guided rockets on the attack helicopters, or also for the guided tank rounds? I think not as its a "guided shell", but I'm not sure!
 
i had assume it was only referring to guided rockets on the Scout Choppers / Attack Choppers.

But others say it applies to Javeling + SOFLAM combo as well as guided shells

Will have to wait and see !
 
I currently can't play this game, contacted EA support, tried all their solutions to which none worked. so I'll try here instead (this is on PS3 but apparently it affects all platforms).

When I load into a server and choose my class I spawn but I have no weapons, I can't see them, primary gun, secondary, grenades, knifes etc. I can't use any of them.

This of course renders the game unplayable but only happened yesterday when the game wanted to install some content to the hard drive. ever since then I can't play the game on my PS3.

Anyone else have this problem and know a solution or is it just me?

I've tried deleting all downloaded data, save files, browser cache (this is what they told me to do, don't see how it could make a difference).
