Age restriction are stupid!

You can ride a horse at any age, much better weapon than a knife.

On another note, what really is stupid is that 'legally' speaking you can have sex at 16, however can't watch pornographic material until aged 18.... Now that's messed up age restrictions...

Technically you can have sex at any age. Restrictions only apply to you having sex with someone under 16 rather than the other way around. If under the age of 10 you're also below the age of responsibility.

Isn't that statutory rape by the other party though? So although the U16 isn't legally culpable, you can hardly say it's legally allowed...

I was in House Of Fraser in my local shopping centre. I saw these:

Very Hungry Caterpillar cutlery set for children. On it was a big red sticker which said customers must be 18+ to buy knives.
I wondered about getting my 16 year old sister to try buy them, to see if the checkout girl would actually go through with asking for the ID. What on earth could you do with that knife? The fork is probably more dangerous...

Yup and Rizla's.

Oh and in Asda you have to look 30 before they sell you anything! 30!

That would be store policy, in my one it's challenge 25 which is basically standard nowadays. Also, Home Shopping drivers are meant to ID people at the doorstep and not give them the age related products if they aren't old enough! (For example, if the parents weren't in and the children took the delivery).

More like the worst "Some of us are so brain dead that we still don't understand the basics of why shops are made to do this" thread ever.
