Hi everyone,

I recently installed a Kingston sv200s37a 64GB for Windows 7 & most used apps, while the overall speed of the system has increased I am still getting 5.9 for primary hard disk?

To optimise, I have:

Checked AHCI is enabled in BIOS
Run the test with the other drive not connected
Installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
Disabled System Restore
Disabled drive indexing
Disabled the page file
Disabled Hibernation
Disabled prefetching in the registry
Disabled Windows write caching
Disabled the SuperFetch and Windows Search services
Disabled ClearPageFileAtShutdown and LargeSystemCache
Adjust power settings
Fresh Windows 7 install

Can anyone help?

I really would not worry about WEI, it really is the most pointless test.

Run something like AS SSD bench if you want to check the performance of the drive

Have you tried running the test again? Sorry if you have but it's not the most obvious thing that you need to actually click on the button (bottom right iirc) to run the test, it doesn't automatically update.

My M4 was showing at 5.9, I clicked to update it and it jumped to 7.9.

Yea, I've run the test several times

you did set to ahci in the bios? and did the reg tweak beforehand? if in ide you will get poor speeds

It's definitely set to AHCI, not sure where you mean by the reg tweak?

Try setting the power plan to performance

*sorry missed the part where you said you done that already
