Someone trashed my scooter :(

if the frame is bent from falling over, there is something seriously wrong with that scooter, people lob bikes down the road at 60 and don't bend frames.

Sounds like you've ****ed someone off or some knob of a chav has decided to take it out on your bike.

Sounds like insurance may be the best option then

Maybe you have bigger muscles :)

Ahhh, that must be it ;):D

Heres a few pics of damage doesn't look too bad but as I said a lot of panels are damaged & cracked and others now don't fit properly and you never know what damage may of been done that cannot be seen.

Point of impact upper and lower panels cracked:

Wouldn't bother with an insurance claim for that, you will regret it when it comes to renewal time.

Suck it up, and give it a custom paint job :)

I feel gutted for you. I've had various mishaps with various bikes and you really pay a high price for something that you'd just shrug off in a car. It is worth getting it repaired properly through insurance or it'll be worth next to nothing at resale time.

Thanks, my thoughts excactly.

I've been riding bikes for 28 years and not had anything like this happen and never claimed on my insurance.

Took it to a local Yamaha dealer yesterday and they gave me a rough estimate, £600 ish for the new plastics & approx £300 labour but could be more depending if they find any more damage when its stripped down.

Cant you buy the replacement plastic parts online somewhere?...should be a lot cheaper than Yamaha dealer and replace them yourself.

Looks like a nice scooter though. :)

get new panels through the insurance and keep them somewhere safe. Stick the damaged ones together with duct tape , ghetto styles then fit the new ones when you sell it

It saves you worrying about it when you park again & keeps it nice and tidy for selling

My brother in law did it with his GSXR 750 :)
