Evoque arrived :)

 My point is, forget it, I was just trying to say, if I was going to buy a 4x4 I'd get a Defender and use it off road. I don't get the point of Chelsea tractors

urgh, I retract all previous statements

Thats a pretty GTR

Better?

You seem to think a defender and an Evoque are addressing the same market just because they have 4 wheel drive and made by the same company

You are making very little sense and making yourself look a little bit silly.

The only way I cen ever drive a Defender with any degree of comfort is with the window open to make space for my elbow.

The Evoque is at the other end of the spectrum! Drives more like a Jaguar than a Range Rover and thats no bad thing!

Have you ever been in a defender? It's basically a works utility vehicle. It is nothing like a luxury suv.

Yeah I've been on loads of off road days and they're awesome.

I know Defs and "Luxury SUV's" are different, I just don't see the point of the latter.

Again, nice GTR

Because Land Rover saw a market for people who liked the looks of large 4x4 cars, but knew they wouldn't be using them for that purpose at all. So they made a 4x4 and added gadgets, sat nav, heated leather seats, large 20" alloys.

I like, I would definitely buy an evoque. I don't need or want a defender, so am I not allowed to buy any other 4x4?

Don't take me so literal, it's just my opinion, like I've said loads of times before, this is a forum, by posting on here you should expect her read other peoples views on things, good or bad, you don't have to agree

That other thread was right, this place is going downhill

Not normally a fan of Range Rovers etc bit we had an Evoque with 80 miles on the clock at work last week and I have to say they're very nice, preferred the Challenger we had in though. Can't get any better than the sound of a 6.1 v8.

These are starting to grow on me much like the old Freeloader did. It's not as terrifying when a woman doing her makeup in the "vanity" mirror is coming down the street in one of these as it was/is when they did the same in Vogue or Sport Range Rover ;)
Just to be clear, I'm not slating all women drivers, just the ones doing their makeup or on the phone texting/talking taking their own pictures etc etc (oh and footballers, the male kind).

Eugh. Why? Horrible ugly cars.

Give me a S4 over one of these. Though I really don't like any of the luxury SUVs, hence the performance estate!

I really don't get these at all. Can someone explain the attraction? To me it's a three door hatch on stilts.

Are they not just a cheap version of the rr sport, which itself is a cheap version of the rr? But the OP clearly didn't buy it due to financial constraints...

For someone who loves his impractical, high-revving rice mobiles I'm totally in love with the Evoque for some reason.
