I just can't understand the point of hydraulics in an adjustable post? It needs to do down, stay down, and come up when you press a lever. If that doesn't happen too fast that it feels like an ejector seat then great, what more could you want?

Hmm maybe I will. I don't see how the smoothness matters though as your ass isn't in contact when you're raising it, but suppose it'd be good if it was smooth when going down (that's what she said).
Anyway they mention wanting to preserve the feel of an air sprung rebound in a recent promo vid and from the looks of things it seems to have "nice action" / Alan Partridge.

It's the infinite adjustment that's the main attraction. I was appalled by one of the remote seatposts recently. I can't remember which one it is, but you need to actually physically pull it up when you want it to move up!

Meh - changed my opinion drastically about the adjustment mechanism.
Hydraulic or nothing!

At first I was convinced that mechanical was the way to go, but after having tried a few of those (Specialized command etc) and owning a Reverb, the difference is astounding. Few products easily stand out as much as the reverb does above the competitors.

i agree that the reverb is in a class of it's own but if your going from a non adjustable seatpost to a mechanical you won't be disappointed tbh i think i can say i'd be happy with mechanical if the price was right or it was as good as the reverb.

Thats the thing, all these are the same price (or thereabouts), I think these mechanical posts are ridiculously overpriced ( though the reverb itself is also).

Spotted this video and thought it bizarre how similar these guys ride their Makulus to how I ride mine :p

Couple of sections riding my new Sukuma too :D

That step-down roadgapmebop was scary as hell just to look at.

I'll also be getting "my new forks" I'm not allowed to sell outside the MM.
I'll post pics of "my new forks" and see if any of you like it... a lot.

I'm thinking about another DH holiday this year but I'm not sure where to go. I've been to Morzine 2-3 times and Les Deux Alpes once. I'm thinking about Pila maybe? Has anyone got any opinions or other suggestions?

If anyone's been before can anyone recommend a bike friendly place to stay? I've always been in chalets before where there's a garage we have use of, how do hotels tend to work?
