Hotmail, have a gmail address but its just for signups. No complaints with hotmail in all the years I've been using it!
 
I have my blueyonder account but I quite like the idea of centralising my emails, contacts, on line folders, messenger etc from within live and away from Virgin. Also the prospect of connecting it through Windows 8 looks good.

I don't like the idea of having a two separate accounts for google and live (or hotmail) for Android and Windows systems respectively. MS aren't daft by incorporating such process into their new OS.
 
I use both but stick with hotmail for important stuff, don't like the fact google scans all you gmail content, incoming and outgoing and with the recent privacy changes can pool that with all the rest of their profile on you. /shudder

Actually I'm pondering changing to an Office 365 account with my own domain - proper exchange server with a bunch of other stuff including sharepoint in the cloud for 4quid a month. Not free granted but given how important email is to me these days on the scale of things it might be worth paying for. http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/office365/online-software.aspx

I have both and prefer hotmail, someone please explain why gmail is apparently so much better.
Gmail obviously goes very well with an android phone, but that's the only plus i can see.

It was when it was first released, it had large storage etc. these days not here's nothing great about it.
 
I like the security of Gmail with SMS login and an external email address for bail-out. I like the threaded view as well, pretty important feature for me. Google Labs is not essential but a nice addition for the tinkers amongst us.

When people say Hotmail, it makes me think of the Pentium II days of the late 90s :-)
 
Got both. Had a Hotmail account initially but when I got an android phone I set up a Gmail account as well a few years ago and now that has become my primary email.
 
I think ive been using hotmail since I was about 15 (almost 13 years)
It has been hacked once but this was because my hotmail and facebook passwords were the same and the hackers hacked my facebook account first.

Still use it now and have no problems
 
I have both but prefer using Gmail. I mainly use my Hotmail account when I sign up for things and my Gmail account for more important things now.

Just checked and I've been on Hotmail since 1998!

I still use it all the time to speak to people! :)
 
Hotmail here. I've used it for around 7 years. I've got no complaints what-so-ever. I don't need to do anything fancy, just read emails.

I've thought about trying gmail but I can't be bothered to re-register everywhere with a new email account.
 
Hotmail for all my important stuff, no way am I letting gMail scan over all my in and out mails lol, though I have an account because I just love how you cant do anything on Youtube without HAVING to sign up for it.
