I thought i was going to be rich , but sadly not :(

We took some video footage of the Meteor which flew across the UK on Saturday night and it's probably the best, clearest footage on YouTube - it even got shown in a BBC News report!.
A few hours later another You-Tuber copied the video and uploaded it claiming it was his video. By the time i got his video removed for copyright he had 'stole' 124,000 views from me. I have full copyright on the said video now.

I've monetised the video - to show adverts - but so far NO adverts have appeared on my video. In the last 4 days my video has had over 101,000 hits (plus 124,000 the other fella nicked from me). I contacted Youtube and they told me "It can take days - sometimes longer - for videos to be reviewed for monetization. Confusingly they may show as "monetized" while they are still under review."

I just feel that i've missed out on making a few quid and by the time adverts do appear then the video will have peaked anyway. Nothings ever easy!!!

Also just to say a big thankyou to a few members in here who helped me over on Youtube with my copyright problem :D

Meh, it happens. Not much that can be done about it but go through the due process.

As far as "rich" goes, I've got roughly 250,000 views from a couple of my monetised vids which has netted me the granded total of £35. You won't get any mony transferred until you hit £60 - hope the views keep coming in for you.

Argghh is that all? lol. I'm sure i read that the YouTube video "Charlie Bit My Finger" has made the family over £100,000. That's the type of cash i'm looking at ;)

A few people have made 10s of thousands but they have popular channels where every video gets 100s of thousands of even millions of hits.

At least his video went:

Quite few comments I added were deleted. I wonder why. ;)

Still we all know that you are a famous YouTube superstar and that is what counts. :D

I think one of the clauses of becoming a partner is that you can't say exactly how much you make from it. But i know one guy who seems to be just managing to scrape a living with 30,000 subscribers and releasing a video roughly every day, sometimes more.
