Have any of you guys ever been to watch that amazing Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle at a live show? If so, is it just like his DVD? Girlfriend is getting 2 tickets for my birthday...Unsure what to expect...

Safe to bring your children, and sit as close to the front as possible, especially if you have a defect of some sort

I saw him in Sheffield a while ago, his jokes on the live tours certainly go a lot deeper to the bone than on telly :D

Not something I'd go to with someone that gets offended easily!

Hope you aren't sitting down the front. :D

At comedy nights, my friends and I always try and get seats at the front. You'll get picked on, but it's all fun and games and you'll be much more involved in the show. It's far better than just being a passive watcher.

I've got Kevin Bridges tickets for September and I'm MILLLLLLLLES back though. :(

Meh, if I'm going to any event like that, I don't want to be part of the act. I go to these places to be entertained, not to be part of the entertainment.

I don't expect the comedian to come to my place of work and polish my lathe, why should I want to be part of his employment.

I love the heckle replies at his shows, same as Jimmy Carr's crowd interaction, remember him going at a Kid who was obviously only about 15, came with his parents, ripped the *** out of him

Oh he's a comedian? I thought he was just some ex-alcoholic angry ****** from Scotland who enjoyed ranting and picking on people to make himself feel better. Comedian eh? I think I must be missing something here...

I heard a great story about jimmy Carr. Apparently some corporation hired him to do a show for them, and then they said he couldn't make racist, sexist etc.... Jokes... He was apparently a bit puzzled as to what to do, and so decided to spend the whole set ripping apart the execs xD

Also OP I'd hardly rate him as an 'awesome' comedian...

I'm going to see him in August. Managed to get 3 rows from the front, I'll be disappointed if he DOESN'T pick on me!

I really enjoy his stand up stuff and he was great on Mock the Week, but Tramadol Nights was just painful to watch.
