I think Jonny runs 52 x 17. Something to do with maximum number of skid patches? I am not up on the fixie terminology I'm afraid!

I would give it a miss.
I dont know anything about it but it looks like a very old carbon frame. It may have been well looked after and never crashed, but i'd be concerned about the quality/technology of a frame which seems to be quite old.

Castelli Prologo HD in black / white / cyan if anyone's interested. First jersey and very comfy it is too. Particularly loving the pockets on the back including one zipped for keys etc., glad to have ditched the saddle bag. Seems pretty well made.

£50 or so from Wiggle, probably available elsewhere cheaper.

Just booking my bike fit today with a hope of sorting out some aches and pains, hope it helps.

Where are you getting it done?

I'v done it and it helped me quite a bit. I didnt have any aches or pains before but i feel much more comfortable on longer rides and a bit more powerful.

Getting it done by a local chap http://www.powerupbikefitting.co.uk/index.htm

He is not to expensive £85 for a 3 hour fit, looking forward to it. I've just changed my cycle shoes and developed knee pain so I need them looked at.
I've also a strange hamstring ache which I hope the fit will help with.

I've just ordered a couple of Torm jerseys on [DOD]Asprilla's recommendation. It'll be interesting to see how they compare to the Rapha jersey I have. I've also ordered another pair of Nalini bib shorts. Getting ready for spring/summer! :)

I ended up buying some more Nalini bib shorts too, they seem a bargain so couldn't pass them up.

On a short related note, do any of you treat the chamois pad with the proper chamois cream occasionally to keep it soft? Do they dry out to an extent that they're uncomfortable if not?

Anyone got any recommendations for a good cycling rucksack?

Must be sturdy (not swing about), room for a few tools, water bladder, and lunch but not overly big. Looking to spend £30 max if possible.

95% as good at 50% of the cost. I still get Rapha jerseys but I tend to get them off eBay following the sample sales. I've got the club jersey and the spanish and italian jerseys but I wouldn't pay full price for them.

I had a problem with a Torm jersey where the stitching in the seam came away. Sent it back and a replacement was back two days later. Excellent customer service.

I do have a bottle cage, and that is what I use at the moment, but I figured a water bladder system is more convenient.

I wear a rucksack for commuting because I have to take stuff (like clothes) too and from work. However, I wouldn't wear one for leisure cycling; covering your back up is just going to make you sweat more, not to mention the additional weight making your back ache.

If you didn't want the bladder I'd recommend an Alpkit Gourdon 20l. Compressible, fully waterproof (more important than you'd think) and has a couple of side pockets.

Yes, I tend not to wear a rucksack if I can but on longer cycles it's unavoidable if I need to carry lunch and other bits and pieces.

I'll check that one out, thanks. Open to more suggestions :)
