It looks like Z77 boards are close to release

im confused as to why Asus arent showing the maximus V formula on their site?, only the maximus V gene, which I'm not interested in...

That Extreme4 looked interesting at first but their ad is misleading.
2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 x16, which is not what Asrock's site states;
2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots (PCIE2/PCIE3: single at x16 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE3) or dual at x8/x8 mode)

All the boards I've seen (there is another site offering the full MSI Z77 range) seem to say dual PCIe3 x16, but then say it would be x16/x0 or x8/x8. I guess either slot is capable of x16, but only one can do that at a time.

I'm waiting on confirmation from msi on the GD55 as that could be the same, otherwise the Asrock Extreme9 is looking very interesting.

Interestingly the boards on the auction site have vanished too - manufacturers cracking down on people selling early I wonder?

Do we know when the official release date actually is?

The msi range of z77 gd55 and z77 gd65 has been on sale at a certain retailer for a few days now...

If it's the northern based one mentioned earlier then they're now being listed as discontinued stock and don't have a date for getting more in. Methinks they might have had a slap on the wrist from MSI for jumping the gun a little...

I reckon they just sold out of the units they had available...

Already?, I wouldn't be surprised to be honest, with prices like they are, I would have nabbed myself a GD-65.

Although I do think they got told off for releasing them so soon...

edit: Although I'm looking at the retailers page on the GD65 and it doesn't say it's out of stock, and I can still add it to my Cart...
