Hello Peeps

My friend and I have gotten into a bit of a argument about my pc being better than both is game console (PS3, XBOX 360)

Now I play all my games on PC normally Skyrim and BF3. While at his house he put on BF3 on PS3, all I said was: if you ever get the chance to play BF3 on a high end gaming PC you should, graphics are a lot better. His reply was: a PC is never designed for gaming and never will be so there for it cant be better graphics as for PS3 and XBOX 360 they are purely for gaming so it must be better!!

After a hour of talking **** I gave up. So can someone tell my stupid friend that a PC built for gaming is better then his PS3 and XBOX 360.

My PC Spec is: RIVE, 3930K, 32GB MEM, 128GB M4 SSD, MSI HD 6970 Twin Frozr III

Even showed him a picture of my gfx card and said, do you think you can get this in your PS3.

I also mentioned that console are limited to 30fps as for PC's (My 65fps BF3)
some even higher, he would not buy it!

Can some please help me out and explain to my friend!

you and your friend should go to the pub and look at some girls boobs. Then you can argue big vs small.

this is much more enjoyable.

lol strange cous My step son and me were having this convo a few months ago and he has
an Xbox but has always said the graphics on a PC are crap compared to the Xbox.

Now I have BF3 and shown him how totally different it is on the rig in my sig compared to
his Xbox all I get now is, "Those graphics are wicked" and get constantly asked what my
FPS are as well.

Conclusion, your mate is a douch, and obviously knows nothing about PC's easy solution
live happy knowing that your is much easier to play on and has been graphics than his lol.

Lol bud

Then again, I was told I was a idiot by a hardcore pc gamer for building a high end gaming pc, just to play console ports!!

what a strange world!!

Your friend is correct, consoles released 5 or 6 years ago infact are more powerful than pc's assembled with the latest technology. Didn't you know, that's how this works :p.

But honestly, it's not even an argument/discussion, your mate believes what he wants to believe so leave him to it.

A PS3 and Xbox360 like the PC has CPU and graphic chip just like PC, but the thing is their CPU and graphic chip is now 5-6 years old...and they ain't even top range chips during that generation. You friend is delusional if he thinks his console is better than a modern gaming PC.

I find it more important to discover why the OP has 32Gb of ram in his home pc . . . .

Especially if running home premium or basic . . . . .

This 'story' sounds like a load of nonsense, it seems to me that you're just trying to create a controversial thread for the sake of it.

Consoles are great for some games (there are some amazing, great looking games you can't get on PC) and great for some people. PC's are the same.

Each to their own, or alternatively, like many people, get all of them.

Realistically, with the huge resolution increases possible, pc's are at the very least already a bare minimum of a traditional console generation ahead of the 360 and ps3, probably a little more.

Next gen consoles will see a slight res/visual quality boost, would they be able to run even some of today's titles at equivalnet to the higher resolutions found on modern pc's? Very unlikely I would say. Infact almost certainly no, the rumours going round are that the next Xbox will have a gpu that was at no point top of the range in pc terms, doesn't bode well tbh.
