Excellent stuff... :D

:). Cheers. I did try and flash it with Nokia Care Suite but it wouldn't do it. Was unable to 'change the mode' or something. Anyway, the CAB approach is much better as there is no data loss/set up to do afterwards.

I'm chuffed, really want to love the phone being a Nokia fanboy and now I don't have reasons not to. The battery was bad enough, but the issue with the screen going to sleep during calls and not reawakening was the killer. All sorted.

A new version of Network Setup App should be going live over the next couple of days (v1.6) which should solve the issues for 3UK & Giff Gaff users.

I though you swaped the Lumia for a iP4s or do I have the wrong person?

no thats me, I still have both my 800s, 1 because I haven't sold it yet and 1 because I use it for work.

I'm emptying my 4S battery on average twice a day which is a surprise but thats probably because the thing is so lovely to use and I've become addicted to plants vs zombies lol!

Friend of mine picked up a Lumia 710 a week or so ago. From having a play I quite like it, I think it's very slick and Windows is a neat little mobile OS.

Battery life is a bit sucky though even compared to my 4S, and like the guy above me, I find the app store (Marketplace) utterly frustrating. But there's massive potential there.

the lack of apps on windows phone is getting annoyed now, still no big releases. No words with friends, temple run or draw with words.

Microsoft should be throwing money at these companies.

None of those are particularly big releases TBH, not like things like foursquared, whatsapp and Angry birds. All of which are available on WP (and none of which I use...).

You'll probably find there are many games just like the above on the marketplace anyway, just named something different.

EDIT: Just looking those up it looks like two are exclusively iPhone games and the third (or first on your list) is a just another scrabble app? Have a look at the marketplace for games, there are plently of WP games that easily rival those games. For example Rocket Riot, Fusion Sentinel and Rise of Glory... Why are Apple so far behind in the big releases!? :(

Yeah, I probably sound a bit of a **** but just trying to point out that there are plenty of big (mylti platform) games on WP, but the ones on your list are mostly just iPhone games, where there are plenty of other games not available on iPhones on the Android and WP markets.

The things that i wish were in the marketplace are more functional apps such as Tesco (one that works), banking, betting and stuff like that.

Even with these i can still use the browser so no biggie but it would be nice to have dedicated apps for these sites as the websites are often a pain to use on the small screen.

My 800 now shows a ? where the battery indicator should be. Which to be honest, is about as useful as the indicator was before. It's going back tomorrow. I quite liked WP7 but it's not quite ready for me yet.
