OcUK banner

Not sure if this is the right section or if its been mentioned before.

My query was that the banner at the top of the page takes you to the OcUK store and not the forum home, for me this is really annoying because i automatically click on it thinking i'm going to the home page. Not sure if any other members feel the same but i'm just putting it out there

It's just a natural reaction to click on the banner on a forum to take you to the home page, i understand that they are trying to encourage people to use the store.

Forums cost money to run, and OcUK is a business. You're lucky we don't have more ads tbh.

I understand that but everyone on here knows this forum belongs to OcUK and you have to go through the store to get here. Having it linked to the store can't create that much traffic?

Have to go through the store? I haven't seen the store page for months

Half of what I search for on google links to the forums within the first few results

This, bookmark. Having a link to the store is usefull. You allready have a nice big link at the top to go to the root of the forum..

Not really trodden on toes, it's just bizarre.

Why do you go for longs, do you never use the menu, like if I'm in this thread and want to Goto motorsports, I'll click on "life" link.

I like going to the home page to see any recent comments in threads in any section.

I'm new here and this layout is different to what im used to, going back to the home page is my muscle memory.
This was just a thread to see if any other people thought the same as me, i never criticised it.

Or I'm guessing most people finish reading at the bottom of the page and then just use the drop-down menu to get where you want to? :confused:

I think the banner link to the store is great if I want to keep a thread open and check prices etc.
