Does any1 no the idle and maximum load temp of a zotac gtx560ti 448, mine is currently at 66 idle and 89-90 at load, is this normal, i was thinking of replacing the thermal paste with some mx-4 or arctic silver 5 which is best? Oh and the fan is on auto

Will be interested in your results, I have a 448 zotac overclocked to 800mhz (remember this is not really a 560ti but rather a 570 core with some cores disabled) I sit about 34 degrees idle and up to 80 degrees load (the witcher2) everything else between 75 and 70, but this is with a custom fan profie which is a bit noisy for my liking at 80 degrees. I am however interested in getting an aftermarket cooler as I would lke it much quieter on full load, does anyone know if the zalman will fit as no 448 boards are reference so no idea what fits.

Hmm what to do, i hope i dnt void my warranty if a reapply thermal paste :-(

Slightly ambiguous wording but it would seem so:

4. The warranty does not extend to defects caused by failure to comply with operating instructions, improper use, inappropriate operating conditions, overload or modifications by the user.

In particular, the warranty will not be valid if

- the product has been modified and/or willfully damaged in any way
- the serial number has been altered, defaced or removed
- the GPU cooler fan has been removed or replaced.

It'll void your warranty if they can tell you've done it.

Personally I wouldn't take the chance but it's up to you.

A lot of companies don't care too much as long as you do it carefully. Try emailing Zotac first and asking if they'll let you.

If you bought it from OcUK, then i'd go for it if you're confident u know what you're doing as they don't mind as long as there's no physical damage done to the card, they'll still RMA to Zotac for you (if faulty).

PS mods:
all details have been double checked and are 100% correct as of at latest 2.5 months ago

OcUK may RMA to Zotac but the important thing is what Zotac decide when they get the card.

Not 100% sure if it applies for all manufacturers, or if 100% true, but when RMA's come from a retiler, some manufacturers are very lenient on accepting them.

Again, take with pinch of salt

fan speed

Is the fan speed ramping up correctly with temps ? You could try install something like MSi afterburner (perhaps Zotac has an equiv) and setting a profile where the fan speed increases at a lower temp ?

I got my new 570 today (while my 580 is in for repair) and it idles around 35, full load 65-68. The 560ti 448 is the same board and chip with some gubbinses disabled. Mine is however a MSi Twinfrozr iii Power Edition (factory overclocked)

My 580GTX ran 40 idle, but under full load went to 90. Granted it may have been that my fan was actually faulty from day 1.

The fan is ramping up yes, my temp is a lot hotter than those reviewed in the links posted 25c if not more is a substancial difference in temperature, do you think it could be the thrrmal paste or a i just wishfull thinking here :-\

Not necessarily the thermal paste, it could be the cooler is just poorly fitted.

I would definitely contact support at ZOTAC and post some screenshots, ask them for assistance and advice. If they respond it could be the cooler, either get it RMA'd to them or ask them for permission to reseat the HS/FAN, make sure you get a statement that this will not void your warranty first.

Just emailed them asking them if i can reapply heatsync and thermal paste with there permision ofcourse due to crazy high temps and if tht doesnt work rma it, i shall wait for a reply
