Where does your friend live so I can go round his house and hit him with his frame?

Getting that frame for your needs is a seriously bad idea.

got myself a new frame, my friends selling his Azonic Eliminator II. Going to be to heavy for quite a few of the up hills but will be really good going down them! He's got his recently sprayed white and has barely rode it (he has retro cruiser bike). He does have some triple crown forks but as these will probs double the weight of the frame i will stick with my forks for now. Read suspensions quite adjustable so shouldn't be too bad geometry wise.
As it's a freeride/dh frame not sure if all my stuff will fit but if it doesn't he said he'll keep it

PLease heed our advice.
Take it back to your mate and tell him thanks, but it's not suited to your needs.

I'm struggling for analogies, it's such a bad idea. It's a heavy for a DH bike, nevermind something you want to use for a bit of riding around. The geometry is awful fr what you need and then sticking short travel forks ( if they will actually fit) on there will quite literally make baby Jesus cry tears of blood.

My helmet arrived! Problem is I can't decide if it fits or not.. It feels comfortable enough, but it just doesn't "feel" right. :/

How do you mean?

I went to Evans to try loads on suprising how many fit but not quiet right. If your not completely happy with it, send it back and try something else, there are plenty to choose from.

Yeah the Urge Supercow, and I've tried both pads.

That's the problem, I can't really put my finger on why it doesn't feel right. Might be because I've only ever worn my 661 Recon. I think I'm going to wear it around the house for a couple of days (and look like a right twonk in the mean time) and see how I feel then. If I'm not happy with how it feels then, I'll send it back.

Ordered some new bits for mine, including a Reverb.

Really fancy some new forks as well, think its about time i ditched the 66rc3's and get something like 36 floats, that alone will shave over 1kg off my bike.

Helmets are a very personal thing - if your gut-feel tels you that it doesn't fit well or you don't like it, then send it back.

What size did you order out of interest and did you measure the circumference of your noggin?

And putting the reverb on will put most of it back :)

Yeah, think I'm going to send it back. Just had a look in the mirror how it looks on, and it looks like I'm hiding an egg underneath it at the front! :p It just doesn't seem to go around my noggin. The helmet is too rounded/my head too oblong shape.

I ordered a L/XL. I measured my head to 59cm. It's a bit disappointing though now, because I really don't like the look of the helmets that just sit on the top of your head. Is there anything other than the 661 Recon that I can look at that goes down the back as well as top?

Fox Flux comes down the back of the head.
I'll take a look at that one, thanks. Seem's it can be had for £45 from Stif.co.uk as well at the moment, which makes it very tempting!

I do really like that, and would like to get one - But I can't warrant paying that much when I want to buy some 5.10's and some new pedals.

If I don't order a Fox Flux, I'll just end up going for another 661 Recon I think, since I do like the fit of that helmet, I'd just rather not have 2 of the same. :p

All you ladies down South - come race at Aston Hill this weekend, it's quite literally going to rock.
