Not really, it says the same thing, we moved an hour forward. Local time I am sure qual was the same time, and it still never rained.

Not really, it says the same thing, we moved an hour forward. Local time I am sure qual was the same time, and it still never rained.
I think (I may be wrong) that in 2009 the race start time was moved from 1pm local time to 4pm.
And its not me saying that it always rains in Malaysia, its the general concensus on the weather in that area. Running the race later in the afternoon massively increases the chance of it being affected by rain. And shock horror, it has been. Whether it rained yesterday or the day before is irrelevant. The general trend is rain in the afternoon.

race started 4pm local when really they should have started it at 1pm

It looks very likely that Melbourne may loose its race because they refuse to move it to an evening or night race.
I wish Bernie would show the same concern for European tracks as he does for European TV viewers.
Surely the best tracks for european viewers are the european tracks?
The start time of this race is my fav of the year, i hate the midday ones most
