Intel or Crucial SDD

Following a quick read regarding the latest SSD drives, it seems like the Intels and Crucials are the best. So out of the two below, which one would you guys opt for? Or are there any others that should be considered?

Intel, not a lot in the price at the moment and the intel has 5 year warranty.

I know this is the smaller models but still an indication. The intel has phenominally better write performance.

Except it's a Sandforce controller, so if the data isn't easy to compress then write speeds will be reduced by a lot.

Better some of the time better than nothing. Not only about that anyway, also about reliability, hence longer guarantee.

Crucial M4 for sure

The intel one costs £20 more and is also 16GB smaller

the intel has 5 year warranty.

Who cares about a 5 year warranty on PC Components
It most lilkely cost more for postage to send Components back then they be worth in 5 years time..

Then i would class it as given me a good reason to upgrade to the new faster & much larger capacity ones i would hope that be out by then..

If the drive was still in warranty it would likely be replaced with a newer model anyway.

You'll need a new SATA interface to take advantage of faster drives unless going over to PCI-E.

SATA 3 is now pretty much saturated, certainly on the read speeds and with a lot of drives on the write speeds.

When is SATA 4 out?

well i just fitted my crucial and windows start time is nice and game load time tbh all in using it dfor is a base win7 64 instakll and 1 or 2 games and voip. all my other stuff is staying on hdd `s but it seems nice and quick m4 256 gb btw cheap as chips at 250 quid was goona get the intel but people sort of steered me to the crucial may just buy an intel and see can always sell the one u dont like i guess

Dont rule out the Samsung 830's. I went into OCuK yesterday and picked up a 128GB and im very happy with it so far. Try and read some reviews here first before u make ur mind up

as he said read as much as you can there are a lot of reviews its all dwn to opinion i went with the crucial m4 but tbh there not a lot between i dont think in all honesty as long as u set it up right..
