do you like the idea of GMO?

It doesn't bother me. In fact, hardly anything bothers me.

Smile, be happy :-)

As long as they're careful to avoid things like spreading antibiotic resistance etc I'm all for it. Especially if all this global warming stuff turns out for the worst and we need hardier crops.

Whether I'm confident they will be careful to avoid problems I'm not sure, I'd like to say it wouldn't be an issue with proper regulation but I can't think of one time regulation has been "proper" first time and not required adjusting after multiple failures.

That's a nice video although as it's from Greenpeace it doesn't come across as neutral.

But still, we are pretty much screwed if GMOs turn out to be bad for us as they have spread to most of the food we eat. I would say that globalisation of the food supply is a very bad thing, when the impending fuel crisis happens we're going to find empty supermarkets.

not being able to contain it is reckless in my opinion. that could potential take away peoples right to avoid it. if people want to run on the hamster wheel and consume things like gmo and bpa be my guest, but you better safeguard the right to say no or your asking for trouble.

The video you posted is contradictory; Farmers have to pay for the seeds from the corporations, and yet the GM crops apparently spread to neighbouring farms, which would eliminate the need to pay the corporations for the GM crops?

Puts tin hat on

If you watch a few of the documentaries out there on GM foods you will see information is being withheld fom us. One doctor reported patients in extreme pain. More pain than he had ever seen a human in before. This was after eating GM food. Other people in the GM food industry have reported the problems with animals (stuff like cancer, miss shapen testicles, infertitly issues etc) after being fed GM food.

Also as the short video says Monsanto has the rights to 90% of GM crops. Nothing wrong in that I suppose until you find out Monsanto will not allow GM food to be served in their staff canteens. Why not if it is safe?

Good videos are

The world according to Monsanto

Poison on the platter

Food inc

The future of food

Takes tin hat off.

No what happens is when GM crops spread to other crops Monsanto comes in and claims you have infringed their patent. Madness.

r u serious man?

some whacko plants gm seeds next to a guy who wants to be organic and its goodbye organic crops. then monsanto files a lawsuit against the organic farmer because he has gmo in his fields. even if they know they will not win they proceed anyway to bankrupt him with legal fee's just because he refused to go under the gmo umbrella. this is 100% fact because its happened and is still happening.

Add: good point about gmo not being served in the canteens i forgot about that. also the queen and very rich bigtime players on the world stage have their own organic farms, foods and chefs that follow them around anywhere they go. they give the go ahead for this world experiment and we are the test subjects but they dont touch the stuff. ****ing happy days isnt it
