yep even from the Bilt-Hamber Laboratories website its £13.90 delivered for 200g
i would try the soft first as i found the medium a little to hard,
i found the soft did the job well and was very easy to use especially for my first time.
just dont do what my mate did, and try to re-use it after he had dropped it, put a massive scratch up the wing.
"if you drop it, bin it"

yep defo!

cut the lump of clay into smaller pieces so if you drop it you don't waste it all

Quick question gents.

Gave my car a damn good going over a couple of days ago. I basically:

1. Washed
2. Clayed
3. Washed again
4. Auto Glym SRP
5. Collinite 476s

Took me a while but was well worth it. Claying really made polish application so much easier!

I'd look to do above at least once a year but what would be the best thing to do in between? Simply wash and towel dry as the Collinite 476 will remain present for a while? Or is there a recommended quick detailer spray I could use straight after wash/dry that won't strip off the Collinite but enhance it?

The method I'm currently working on is towards a final protective layer. I hear the collinite 476 is a good all rounder for this.

My suggestion would be to do the following:
- Snow foam - (will get rid of most of the grit and dirt before you even go anywhere near with a washing mitt and create swirl marks or cuts into the FPL)
- Thorough rinse - To remove all foam residue and any remaining grit particles
- 2 bucket method to clean the car using high quality car shampoo and wash mitt. Your second bucket (just water to clean the mitt) should be almost as clean as when it started, otherwise your FPL isn't doing the required job...
- Rinse again
- Dry
- Polish

**The snow foam should be diluted to a level that will not strip the wax

Taken to putting a bottle of QD in my boot but filled with a little car shampoo and water to get those bird poos off my paintwork!

Don't do what the Woman at my work did and decide that the poo was a little well attached to the paintwork.

She used a scourer to get it off

Is 'AutoMagic Strawberry Wax' any good? My BrotherInLaw is looking to buy some and thought I'd see if it's a known brand to anyone here? It looks like you can buy it fairly cheap on ebay UK, He's in SouthKorea where it's about half the price, so about the cheapest stuff you can buy anyway really (6quid for the 450ishml Bottle) as long as it doesn't ring any alarm bells of AVOID AVOID!!! Then it'll be all good :)

Just got myself a little pressure washer. Karcher 209. Seems pretty nifty so far. I already have a lance with it. What would I need to get in order to be able to use snow foam? Any good detergents that people use?

Tried a coat of that Back To Black stuff, seems to have done the trick. Just need to see whether it holds or washes off as soon as it rains.

Hi

I have just got myself some of the Chemical Guys Windscreen treatment , it is a really small 100ml spray bottle , I'm just wondering how many sprays I would need on my windscreen? as it looks like I could use it up in no time?

cheers

Worst day of the week weather wise but it needed some attention, not been done since october last year and the amount of spider webs in the paint was awful.
More in show us your car thread.
