Collapse of Greece

So, erm, read few latest news suggesting that default of Greece is matter of time, and it will happen on some Friday.. Lucky for me I am going on holiday to Greece this Friday... Maybe some financial knowledgable people would advise how to behave if I were to arrive during default of Greece where Euro would become useless..

If you have any sense, you'll stay at home.

And how do you suppose he gets his holiday money back if he doesn't go ? Do you want him to lie to his Insurance company ( and risk getting found out now that he has posted the question on a public Forum )

Greece has not fallen, when they started comparing - hinting at The EU (German) Policy on the bailouts with Nazi Germany about how they were in a Catch 22 situation then pretty much a lot of hope was lost - hope can be regained. Nothing to worry about however the people on the ground are not savages or anything. They're not rioting Londoners. There may be violence and civil unrest against the government and EU but that doesn't affect the entire country and populous. I would be more worried about Athens and any overthrowing of power at the moment as lots of politicians have walked out in protest. Strong left wing / right wing groups are gaining political support which is worrying.

In closing Greece has a lot of social, economic and political problems but it doesn't really affect your holiday.

Serious hat now, why would Greece be collapsing this week? I havent seen anything in the news/Economist about it?

Don't know what news sources you have but you should pack a container full of moussaka and a tub of taramasalata.

You find this phrase very useful.

Enjoy your holiday :D

This is a lot and he apparently cares deeply about Greece and its problems, judging by his rather sad face.

Dont worry, nothing will happen, the scenario is that every week in News Greece has to do ''something'' to avoid exit from EU. However, these are not serious situation its a trick for Greek Goverment to take extra taxation for people.

Try to avoid though to be in city centers especially Athens and Salonika.
