Because it is. It's 2GB worth of stuff that should have been correct in the first place, if developers/publishers actually bothered with adequate quality control prior to release.

You giving BF3 a try?

Yep, this is ridiculous. 2.3GB to download in total, I'm not concerned about the data usage or anything but it really does make you wonder what they're doing.
Also very clearly proves that they're releasing stuff in a state that is nothing close to what the actual finished product should be, if it needs over 1GB of fixes.

Yes it was. PC has always had loads of stupid server admins who cried and kicked you because you took "their" chopper etc..
The trick has always been to find a good one
in all my hours spent on the pc, i never felt it was as bad tbh, must have been on the right side with the admins then.
any news on the 360 update?
You won't if you spent your time on friendly servers with good admins. I know when I was playing BF2 and BF2142 on the PC I did.
360 Patch out tomorrow https://twitter.com/#!/Battlefield/status/186915371800993793
one thing im not liking is the Admins power on private servers, was playing an op met 24/7 with 200% ticket last night, and doing pretty well, was upto 3 meele ribbons, a few suppresion and accuracy, and a few combat excelence then out of no where i got kicked.
i wasnt using any gay weapons, and there was room for more people, my mate also got kicked a little earlier, when i rejoined i was instantly kicked again, then managed to re join and finish the round.
luckily the stats are tracked, but whats the point in playing if your just going to be kicked for no reason.
it was never like that on the pc.
