**NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 680 4GB ARRIVING NEXT WEEK - PRE-ORDER NOW!!**

This is more up my street performance wise. Yes I know 1.5gb/2gb arguably is enough for my single display, but I want more than I will ever need, not have 2gb and be really close.

The price IMO isn't as bad as some are making out. It seems to have a good cooling solution, is a different card to the stock one and has more Ram. Would be happier if it was in the high £400's though.

Still likely to wait for the GTX 685,690 or 7990 unless one of these cards beats my crossfire 6950's by a good margin.

Can't help but notice, ocuk is very quick listing a 4gb version i can basically not find any here in the netherlands / germany / austria...

Whooooooo £170 for useless extra 2gb of ram!

Now that a bargain!

"pricing is excellent" lol

I agree with this comment as i have recently seen a comparison between sli 680's with 2gb of ram v 3gb 7970's at 5760 x 1080 and the nvidia cards still beat the ati cards, therefore i dont see where the extra 2gb of ram comes in use in games like bf3 at ultra settings?

I doubt the card is aimed at your average joe trying to get the best bang for buck in terms of GPU/VRAM, etc. It's there as a top end probably over the top a bit for the time being kind of thing. That isn't to say that in the not too distant future there won't be games taking advantage of the extra VRAM. Who knows?

Hmm, I think I'll be waiting a while so. It seems the F T W is the only EVGA card on their site with 4GB memory at the moment. It seems that it'll use the same cooler as the SC Signature one, so will have to wait and see what they bring.

That's if I don't beak down the get the next EVGA 680 that's in stock.

4gb Classified, more of a beast than the F_T_W version :D

just click the classified on the right of the blacked out card. shows specs, but TBA

Heres the evga 4gb 680 specs, so it looks like it comes with the backplate already.

Also under key features its got this:
•8+6 Power Design
•8 Phase PWM Design

Whats that mean?

I believe Palit is 8 phase PWM too as it's 6 core PWM plus 2 memory PWM which gives you an 8 phase PWM.

Power connectors I shall try to get more pics to verify.

The Palit is 8+6 power pins and 8 phase too:-

Can see 1400-1500MHz potential here.

There can't be a 3GB card since the GTX 680 uses a 256bit interface.

So it's 2GB then 4GB

The only EVGA card mentioned on their site is the F TW 4GB one, which Gibbo says will cost quite a bit.

Herp derp, I knew that, was getting confused with the 580 :(

So Will there be 4gb EVGA cards for around £540 Gibbo?

Also, any news on GTX 670?

The Palit is 8+6 power pins and 8 phase too:-
