Forza 4

I am finalb and i have been using the aston which dreeder shared in the garage. i could get it to 3 mins but i just cant be bothered today

Deadline is the 10th i think. What time is the unicorn time? I don't have the dlc so can't use that aston unfortunately. Might just wait until they do another unicorn task.

I think I suffer from Jeremy Clarkson syndrome when it comes to the cones and just end up going too fast and hitting everything.

I'm not too fond of drifting either, I like plain circuit racing and the ones with ai cars can be quite fun.

I've also found onlline racing not to be too bad and as long as there is no more than 1 or 2 ******** then it's ok. Nascar is usually pretty good online.

Yeah, I owned your hockenhine time fbss, in a worse car too! Could have been luck of the draw with the positioning of the ai cars though i guess.

Apologies I shouldn't of recommended something I hadn't tried. I felt there was a plenty of time left on the V12 F355 C though.

No, recommend away, you made it clear it wasn't clarified because you said apparently. I tried it out but didn't find it any better than other. Less width than the bigger cars though which could help some people.

FFS. I overtake one car only to have to slow down for another and then the car I overtook comes smashing into the back of me on teh 2nd to last corner and ruins my lap. I noticed you are sticking with 0mph starts finalb so for the time being I'm sticking with that. SHouldn't be too hard to beat that time, I just need some luck with the ai cars.

It is possible in the Fox I've just done a 2:59.975 and I clipped a cone right near the end. You just need to start out gently cutting as close as you dare to the first set of cones to minimise the pendulum effect trimming the speed off now and again then watch out for the understeer 2/3rds of the way around the first corner. I slid off so many time there, but once you get some heat into the race tyres it's a bit more manageable.

desires, i was only sticking to standing starts because the cars go in the same order every lap. so i was able to guess where the cars will be on the lap and try to advoid them

I think that confirms my suspicion of me having Jeremy Clarkson syndrome then. Will have to get some patience and give it another go. What time do I need to drive to get a unicorn?

I didn't know that. I still think the extra speed into the 1st corner would be an advantage to any extra breaking you might have to do due to unplaced cars.

I'm still going to try and beat you with a standing start though :D

Got you :D Seriously close, only beat you by a couple of hundredths, it was pretty close the whole race round came out the final corner almost neck and neck and I focused on you too much and missed my gear change, honestly thought that was going to make me lose it :p

It would be pretty cool if Forza had a symbol to say whether it was a rolling or standing start.

3:06.733 for Cone Killer I must admit my first attempts in the Fox weren't too pretty.

Would you describe yourself as a good accurate driver or average?

Managed to take a place in my GT-R at Laguna Seca. Basically ended up taking all the GT-R out of the GT-R - swapped in a V8, swapped to RWD... I found the slidiness of the RWD easier to manage than the understeering bulk of the AWD.

I think the unicorn was a 3.15 ish time. Ahhhh ****.. just looked at the thread and he has just got Time: 3:06.733 (FINAL TIME!)

And it closes tomorrow morning too.... this means i gotta do some more damned cones :( i was hoping my time was good enough

If i get a season pass do I get all the previous DLC too? How does it work?

Also, will there be a unicorn thingy next month or are these events rare? I think I could spend all day doing these cones and still not do it. Should I practice with flashbacks or just go at it straight away?

The season pass covered the 6 monthly DLC packs of which the final one came out last week. T10 initially chucked in the Muscle car pack as a bonus for those who didn't get it when the game launched. Unsure if this is still the case.

So there will be no more DLC? If i got the season pass I would get all 6 packs? 2400 credits is a lot of dosh for a dozen cars :( I say dozen because most of the packs I've seen only have one or two cars that I think I would actually use :/

There will be more DLC, however it's not included in the season pass.

Some of the earlier packs pop up at a discount on promotion. You can also buy individual cars for around 150 points.

I got the season pass. Even if I don't use all the cars I'm sick of seeing loads of skodas driving about in online races.

Still can't do the cone challenge, even in the clubhouse Zagato. I even chucked on all assists and I got my best time ever of 3:30 or something similar. I just hate cones, and they aren't even cones, they're barrels.
