people are taking too much for granted

yes today helped a great deal but Utd still need to beat Wigan away and probaby AV and Everton before Utd can afford to start celebrating.

City could win the next 2-3 , stilll not have Utd's consistancy but go on to win the title.

Scholes has been incredible ( while occasionally assisting with a goal against Utd ) but not playing until Jan has helped enourmously with how good his level has been since coming back.

Personally I think Utd need to spend big in the Summer on a striker, two CM's and at least one full back. With two strikers and a gk probably leaving squad space shouldn't be an issue. City and Chelsea will definitely spend huge amounts not to mention other clubs competing for same targets

will be hoping Spurs and Arsenal stay in top 4, Spurs are in a huge fight though

Tevez will leave and Yaya is reportedly ready to give up international footy , so City WILL be stronger next season even before buying more players

Vidic technically won't get a medal for 'only' 6 games which seems harsh.

You can't just dish out medals willy-nilly though, you have to draw the line somewhere otherwise Hargreaves would get one for the 9mins he played last season or whatever it was. 6 games out of 38 is a pretty small proportion.

It should be different though. Someone could play 6 games and score 6 goals in 1-0 wins*.:p

There has to be a limit, but not just simply games played. I'm not sure I have an alternative though.

* or is there a clause for goals

Vidic only played 6 EPL games. I'm stunned - but I would still give him a medal , even if he doesn't play I'm positive he helps enourmously off the field

Balotelli would be good at united. I would love to see him play for us. Under fergie he would become an absoluty fanatastic player. Fergie knows how to get the best from poeple...

Indeed, if they can beat Man UTD end of the month then they are still only 5pts behind really... the trouble is the way they are playing at the moment my money would be on Man UTD to pick up the most points in the other matches.

Would have Balotelli at Utd no problem. Mancini has shown all season he cannot mange him. Constantly berating him from the sidelines and constantly publicly criticising him. He is a great talent that needs nuturing. Not from a nutjob like Mancini who can't get that extra 10% from his players.

This time of season, Fergie closes ranks and let's it all go off around him and the players. Mancini on the other hand has let the pressure get to him. More importantly to the players.

You think Fergie would nurture him? Would he ****, he would have lost patience with him some time ago. There's a long enough list of players to fall out with fergie and get shipped out.

For the sake of the league I think it's good that Manu will win the league. City winning it is inevitable and a delay to their future dominance is a good thing. Once they get a title under their belt with a really strong side I dread to think what that bit of confidence will do getting that monkey off their back. Probably much the same as Manu when they won their first title again in the 90's.

City just need minor tinkering, to think all the united fans screaming for players cannot see the value in the consistency of a solid team without a major overhaul. Almost every start to the season it's the same on here, united fans crying about fergie having lost it and not investing enough, then when the going gets tough and the pressure is on that tight unit takes the league.

Great job again by Fergie, here's to September when the fans on here start telling us he's lost it and the teams **** ;)

wouldn't touch him with a barge pole ;

1) How many stupid things has he done this season alone OFF the pitch

2) Mancini is partly at fault for mismanagement, but MB can be too selfish on the pitch, and the arguement over the free kick etc too much of a loner for me.

3) Not that they need any help, but I wouldn't be happy if Utd paid £30m or whatever for him that was then used to buy a more mature / better player who Leads them to title(s) etc

he was on the bench today wasnt he? i would expect him to make 4 sub apearances before the end of the season.

because its about the CL as much as its about EPL, Utd need to compete with Barca and Real etc not just Chelsea and City etc

To compete Utd need to replace aging legs of Giggs, Scholes and Evra, and pace that Berba never had

I don't know but I doubt he was ever going to play.

SAF has already stated Vidic won't even play in 2012/2013 pre-season, which I found strange, but will be ready for start of next season

If Beckham himself had to be shipped off because Ferguson couldn't stand his antics, what hope would Balotelli have? He would never be in United anyway - he's just not a United player and not suited to the badge.
