iRacing

yeah my set is on the forums im s peace on there. it's very stable and fast.

but tbh if you only just got the radical and your lapping in the 23's your doing well...

add me on there...

I haven't the foggiest idea how i'll shave two or three seconds off my current times - having a hard enough time keeping control of this beast.

just stick with it mate, theres always time to be had.

first tip would be knickerbrook, the corner after the long straight, dab the brakes by the 100 sign down to 4th nice early turn in then let it wash wide to the outside kerb on exit but dont take too much of the kerb get back on the power as soon as you can.

that will knock loads off your time...

I always seem to lose it in the penultimate turn. Also feels like I can't put the power down without losing the back end :(

Just had a blast in the Star Mazda and find it far more driveable. Will give the Radical another shot too i think, though the thing seems so light.

bla, drive it like you stole it.

ill wait for you to come back and tell us how dirty the star mazda drivers are in the lower splits...

Finally out the wild west. Woot just Had a race used my usual strat in the rookie cup "start as far back as possible on the grid, let anyone who looks dangerous overtake me before t1, then overtake everyone one by one" came out of T1 in 12th ended the race with 3rd and on the podium. Gained 0.55 SR managed a perfectly clean race for me.

Best race ive had so far on iracing everyone was clean with one just one idiot on the grid made for a brilliant race. Was stuck behind 4th for a good 8 or so laps so 2nd and 1st pulled away once i got passed 3rd i pushed like mad But just couldnt make the time up.

Lads thxs so much for getting me into this my experince as been brilliant.

Driving it like I stole it tends to result in a crash. Driving it like its my own tends to ensure I improve ;)

Optimal lap is in the 1:21's now, but can't hit the 22's consistently. Improving though!

That's really not that bad pace for the first day of driving it, quite a few of the people racing are sitting in the 23/24s laptime range, you've got to remember that GraveYard and I have been driving it for >2 months now, and I've been using iRacing for rapidly approaching 4 years...

there great times to say you been driving it for 1 day, peeps that have been racing it all season aint even getting them times.

but driving it like you stole it aint that bad advise IMO, as the radical needs to be pushed to get good lap times out of it, theres no point be nice to it you gotta attack the corners...

looks like the radical is the road world cup car, ive just been in a test server at the glen.

only way round there with any pace is with a 17 wing, i never even realized that i was racing with a 17 rear wing in the first race of the season...
