iRacing

bla, its not a bad car but no were near as fun as the radical and the races can be very dirty.

plus we have a awesome British community that race the radical...

Not looking forward to having to manually blip :(

its easy mate once you get used to it, i was like that at first then i just went in a practice session after 10 laps or so i got used to it, now its second nature i do it on all game with all cars and i dont even mean to...

Just spent the whole of a race behind a lapped class B driver who was slightly slower than me; ignored all blue flags, chopped off the racing line and at one point forcefully drove into me on a straight :/

Thankfully, I incurred no incidents - but blue flags are hard to see apparently.

Only been playing a few weeks myself and when i told gravey i was using auto blip he laughed at me so the other evening i did 20 laps in the mx5 at i think the tracks called jefferson ? Its a tiny track that looks like a little B road. Your up and down the box a lot so perfect to practice on.

Just take it nice and slow and build up the pace and speed of the gear changes. I shouldnt of turned it on at the start because Half the time i do it natuarly when racing the mx5.

After traing myself to do it on live for speed. But has i hadnt Played a sim for a long time i Thought i Need all the help i can get.

3 podiums in 2 days, im happy with that..

just raced the 4.30 radical race, started 3rd and stayed 3rd the whole race, thought i had a chance at 2nd for the first few laps but he started to pull away, stephen gieir was a lot faster than us so i knew the race would be his.

so i just settled into 3rd as 4th was slower than me, i was loosing focus abit at times. 0 inc aswell..

Just hit Class D, had a win and a few good spots at summit point in the mx5, looking at trying the grand touring or the other one available, but they both seem to be $130 dollars for the full package? is there anyway of getting this cost down

Nicely done, decent points haul as well I see :)

I didn't realise Stephen was quite that quick in the Radical, raced him a few times in the Skippy and we're about the same pace, but from his laps there he'd have me beat easily, must get better :p

Played around with the Skippy earlier, can't believe how much I've forgotten about driving that thing, then got annoyed and started Mass Effect 2 which has eaten up the last ~9 hours of my life it seems ¬_¬

Buying multiple pieces of content results in a discount (3 items = 10%, 6 = 20%), also you don't have to buy all the content for a series just to run it, for multiclass you only need the 1 car, and obviously you don't need to run all the tracks if you don't want to...

I bought Watkins Glens to play in the Touring Championship, but as I dont own the Jetta I dont fancy being beaten every race, they seem a lot quicker. Thinking about going skip or mustang, but not really sure. I like the mx5 its just boring around circuits with long straights.

2nd again in the 10.30 race.

started 2nd got a great start into 1st, got down to the hair pin and got a slight tap off maurizio and he went by and my car was ever so slightly sketchy on right handers, effected my times abit as i was off my normal pace...

Remember in multi-class you are not racing against the other classes. Each class are racing for its own positions and own points.

I am just the opposite on this one though, I do have the Jetta, but don't fancy everyone in the slower cars beating me!

Unsure what content to buy to get me to class C. I like the idea of both the Star Mazda and the Radical, but seems pointless to try and buy content for two series.

Just had a quick check and this season at least they share 7 non-free tracks (and both have Laguna Seca) so I'd probably say pick the first 4 tracks and buy both cars (to get 6 items for the 20% discount) and then decide which one you want to continue, or just continue both :p

Also worth checking the forums as I believe the season 2 schedule for the Radical is 'known' already, SM might be as well, might be more/less shared tracks...

So for 2012 season 2
Watkins Glen Classic no-boot
Lime Rock Park 30 Mins
Mosport
Zandvoort
Road Atlanta
Silverstone - Endurance race
Brands Hatch
Charlotte Motor Speedway Full Road
Suzuka
Oulton Park Fosters
Barber Motorsports
Spa - Endurance race

thats apparently the rotation for s2 2012 taken from the radical forum, i think they have changed charlotte for Indianapolis...

quite looking forward to lime rock be fun in the radical.

Can't drive the Radical :P

Edit: Okay, I can drive it - just not quickly :)

Im same m8 and im quick in other cars so i think the Radical needs more laps than most to get to grips with so stick with it if you enjoy driving it but if not plenty of other cars to play with.;)

Oulton no chicanes, doing 1:23-24's when I can keep it on the road. Was using a setup pilfered from the Radical board on the iRacing forums.
