Something like 25% at the Federal level, then individual state taxes are added on (different for every state) and then depending where you live in the state even more can be added on.

Still, it'll leave you with a nice sum I'd imagine.

I know we all have to pay taxes, but this kind of annoys me. Is there any good reason that the government is entitled to tax on lottery winnings other than 'because they can'? They really are vultures. Everyone that bought a ticket has worked and paid their taxes, their money gets accumulated into one big pool of cash and the winner takes all. Nothing wrong with that, it's just one big game. And then the government comes along and says we didn't buy a ticket but we still want a huge share of that.

I'd buy Selena Gomez.

To be honest I'd just buy a nice 4-5 bedroom house in a nice area on the outskirts of London. Spend my days watching movies, playing games, going to the gym (I'm already going to an expensive luxury gym so no need to change), indulge in my model making hobby, travel a lot and doing charity work. Settle down with my gf and raise a family. I'd still have a pretty full life!

We all know that rich people lead perfect lives, never have any problems, never get depressed, never commit suicide etc. etc.
Yeah

People will continue to have mental problems regardless of their financial statuses. A rich person having mental issues cannot simply be attributed to their bank balance. It's like saying a rich person can never get whiplash, never break a rib, never bruise themselves.

Rich people are human as well, of course they can get depressed, commit suicide, have mental issues, the same as any other human being.

For me though, money is the bringer of happiness. Nothing, apart from friendship, brings me happiness like money does. Even then, in my mentality, having friends but no money would depress me. I will simply refuse to play board games with my friends, I'd top myself if it ever came to that (touch wood :p).
