Im waiting for the official HTC screen protector and case to be delivered. will post pics when I get it.
Why do you want a screen protector, the One X has Gorrila glass. I've had my htc Sensation from launch and the screen is as new.
I'm really struggling using Sense again after being spoiled by AOSP on my Sensation, so I have started modding already!
I've started skinning the Sense UI and replacing the Sense apks for their AOSP equivalents (apart from the browser which I actually prefer! I might theme that one) and am attempting my first port as well. I really have gotten the Android itch!

Seriously, you don't need a screen protector.
Type in "HTC One X Scratch Test" or similar to see people literally grinding keys on the screen, doesn't leave a mark.

Yes, the Nexus and 4S are both my current phones, hence why I said 'essentially'.
All things permitting the One X will replace the Nexus!
Ok I'll bite - what in there do you find unfair or biased towards Apple?
Looks like a fairly balanced appraisal to me - they recognise the relative strengths and weaknesses in each category and give the Android handsets credit where due. Their conclusions in each section look totally reasonable to me.
So come on, let's hear it, what specifically in that review do you disagree with so much that you feel the need to ridicule?
Or is it just that any article which dares to suggest that the iPhone 4S still holds the upper hand in any department whatosever must be wrong and hugely biased in favour of Apple?

If you really are getting all worked up about my comments my emails in trust, not going to reply in this thread as you know what will happen.
I think most of the points they made were reasonable enough but it did seem to have a bias edge to it. Cnet are also often wrong about a lot of things.

Do you apple fanboys hate the thought of any other mobile beating the iphone and not being the top end device anymore?
Firstly design wise, yes the iphones are very good and definitely trumps the GS 2 in terms of "perceived quality", however, the HTC one S is better IMO, it feels great to hold in the hand and much easier/more comfier to use due to having a curvy design rather than just being a rectangle slab that looks "expensive".
The hardware part is just laughable.....I would say that it should have been a draw as each one has its weaknesses and strengths;
screen - the One X screen is much better than the 4s in size (what is the point of watching videos, looking at photos etc. on a tiny 3.5" screen compared to a 4.7" screen? and I also found the quality of the display better personally, the iphone is still slightly sharper looking though but again, it is pointless on a 3.5" screen IMO
battery - the one S easily wins this, however, with the GS 2 you can swap batteries and fit bigger ones in if required (so out of the box the one S, and the GS 2 for overall)
storage - GS 2 easily wins this
CPU - one S wins this IMO but many will say the X due to it being quad....
GPU - 4s
RAM - all the same amount for those android devices and 512MB for 4s
So draw amongst the android handsets
camera - tricky this one, IMO the GS 2 just edges the 4s for quality of video recording and photos, however, the HTC devices have great features to make up for the quality IMO
So for features - one X and S
Quality - GS 2 (just edges it ever so slightly though)
I would say a draw overall
Price (going by the prices listed there) - one S
However, you can get a GS 2 for around £300 from a lot of other places
Software - draw since everyone has their own reasons for liking one or the other etc. and both have their advantages and disadvantages
And not to mention what is even more telling that this review is bias to the 4s is the way that the guy has written it, looks like he was tugging one out when he was righting about the 4s

I'm paranoid about looking at such a lovely screen with a dirty great scratch down it I think, coming from an iPhone I got a 2cm scratch right in the centre after only having it for 3 days and being uber careful with it....
The more I use this handset the more I'm loving it.........
Do you rather this to the iphone 4s ? I am so close to just biting the bullet now and getting the one x.
I could pull up a few points there (battery, storage, camera) but I honestly can't be bothered.

I personally don't see how you could disagree with those too much tbh;
The GS 2 has got the better storage as you can also have 64GB in total, however, it is much cheaper outlay for the GS 2 32GB model plus a 32GB SD card than a iphone 4s 64GB model and then not to mention, the advantages of having a removable SD card
Battery life (is a very difficult subject) due to the different software, usage, screens consumption etc. etc. but from reports on the S so far, to me it sounds like the best battery life out of the box so far for a high end device and the GS 2 would be the winner overall since you can put a larger one in for very little or just have a spare battery with you (not exactly big heavy things to carry around
)Camera/video recording, it is obvious that the 4s and GS 2 are the best still for overall quality (reason I say the GS 2 is better for overall quality is cause I think the 1080P recording looks better and just seems smoother overall than the 4s), the X looks good for photos as well and in some shots better than the S2/4s IMO, but the video recording on HTC mobiles is still quite jerky and the light metering auto focus isn't as smooth as Samsung's devices still, but for out of the box features, the HTC one series wins it easily, so again when you look at the overall picture I think you can only come to one decision for this area and that is a draw

As for the rest - whatever, I'm not getting into it.

Points 'I' like about the One X to the iPhone are
- Bigger Screen, with big fingers and older eyes this is great for me
- It feel lighter than the iP4 so I find it more comfortable to hold for text, web, mail, vidoes
- Slips in the pocket a treat and doesn't feel like it weighs me down when wearing jogger etc as the iP4 did
- Was concerned about the build quality and worried about screen scratch but I think I'm worried about nothing after now owning it and looking at some vids on youtube
- Performance is fantastic, no slow downs with lots open and running
- Nice lot of storage locally and in the cloud, way too much for me (30gb Dropbox) + local 26gb but better to have more than not enough as it was with my 16gb iP4
It is down to personal choice at the end of the day but as I've said I'm very pleased with it
