Guild Wars 2

I made one in the beta. Aim was to take a pic to prove that I got into the stress test with my pre-purchase account. I didn't take a screenshot though :(

for anyone that wants to read about the game, there is a massive post on the guild wars 2 guru forums that someone made.

Its mostly up to date aswell, not sure if they are updating it or not.

Great thread, thanks!

Cross profession combos! Good storyline! Pvp leveling! 3 faction rvr!!

I'm so excited about this game, I just really hope it comes out after September or else I'll miss the summer.

Is there an OCUK guild :D?

Interested, but don't know anyone :(, or guild to join

The Immortals will definitely be in Guild Wars 2. We have a large guild on SWTOR (although numbers have reduced quite a lot over the last month or 2 due to the game doing bad), and we already have quite a few members who are OcUKers.

Any OcUKer is more than welcome to go to http://mmo-guild.co.uk/ and join us. As far as I know we don't currently have a beta guild, but we will for sure if possible once the pre-purchase beta starts, and in the live game.

Is it true theres no quests in gw2? how does it all work is it up to date?

Yes there are quests, but the work in a dynamic way instead of static.......you dont go to a quest giver ask for a set quest, do it and return, instead you wonder the world and events happen, you can join in and help complete the event, thus completing a quest.....its all very random.

Not sure what you mean by up to date.

Ordered, received, activated :)
The account pages look like a mess at the moment lol
Anyone got a link to the client for the beta events?(yeah impatient lol)

We The Immortals have a guild in GW2, think we have by far the most ocukers in our guild (well we did while swtor was going well) see www.mmo-guild.co.uk for info!

Pretty sure from the posts on here and our site we have retained most of them, anyway we will definitely be in GW2 ..and same as in most games we will be a active guild!

Should add we been around a long time around 10 years or so, we not a official ocuk guild we just one that works well and has a lot of people from here in it, the ones made just from here never seem to work.

Added: :p just saw Dist post

CJS are selling some for £34.99 (Standard digital edition with pre-order beta access)

Got my key already.
Just wanted to thank you for bringing this place to my attention. I've now cancelled my Play.com order and had my account registered within half an hour of ordering and for cheaper (£35.99)! Little bit gutted I won't have a box mind!

35.99@ CJs now

crazy price yoyo

Yup ordered and had it registered within 20 minutes, had to wait for it to be manually accepted as i payed with paypal. It stated in the FAQ that it would only be accepted between 9am-9pm GMT but had it done about 20 minutes ago, now that is amazing service.

sounds good

Resource Camps – Resource Camps are extremely important because they’re how you gain “supply”. Supply is essentially a resource that allows you and your server to repair walls that have been destroyed, purchase keep upgrades, build siege weapons, and upgrade NPCs at keeps. Each Resource Camp has a small group of NPCs guarding it, but no walls or doors to speak of. If your server owns a Resource Camp, caravans will periodically be sent out to resupply nearby allied towers and keeps. Each objective has its own supply depot, but only if it’s available at that depot. If not, you’ll need to escort a caravan to a nearby depot or obtain some from a Resource camp.

The caravans and such are like Dynamic Events, they’re shown on the tracker to anyone nearby, for you they might say “Escort the caravan to the keep.”, where as any enemies nearby would see “Stop the caravan from reaching the enemy keep”. This facilitates PvP in many areas of the map rather than people standing in one spot at a keep or tower since supply is an extremely important part of WvW play.
