No goal, all the ball has to be over the line -
Am I the only one who is still surprised that the ref is being given so much grief? I may be biased as a Chelsea fan, but this picture below clearly shows that it was a MUCH closer call than the initial TV replays showed
I did think the ball had gone over the line in mid air but only from watching a replay afterwards. It could have gone either way. The pictures are quite conclusive as to how the decision went.
Might sound like a daft question.. which part of the line.. The back of the line or front. The vertical line shows from the front.
The is a 'fake' image going round at the minute, well 'altered' image. The Getty image hasn't been altered.
It has to be over the lineso the entire ball has to be past the line. The back of the line, you see it all the time with throwins
you're right it was a daft question

Glad I didn't disappoint![]()
I wondered because of where the vertical line was drawn and to be honest you could draw that vertical line anywhere along the diagonal goal line and it would make a huge difference. The lines on the image is quite deceptive but the vertical one is not accurate.
Oh well all done now![]()
Phil Dowd is reffing the final.
What's funny about that? He's been one of the better refs this season.
So we're all agreed that it crossed the line?

We've agreed with the ref.![]()
we're all agreed it was a farce of a game
