Upcoming iiyama G2773HS 27" 120Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor!

Eugh, big gloss bezels are horrid. Great way to ruin a lovely panel is to slap a load of cheap ass shiny plastic around it

Gloss is amazing on my 950d I play in a dark room with blinds so never have issues with sun light etc and if i play

Some people here seem to be misunderstanding. The bezel is glossy, the screen is matte. This will hopefully be a relatively affordable matte-screen 120Hz solution. Don't get carried sway with the 1ms, it's pure marketing and doesn't accurately reflect the monitor's performance in comparison to the current 120Hz 2ms TN panel monitors. ViewSonic, Samsung and Iiyama have all made such claims in the past on products with responsiveness that pales in comparison to other 2ms-rated displays from the same manufacturers.

This looks very tempting for a future upgrade (still on 1650x1050) as I have no interest in 3d gimmicks but would love smoother game play that the 120Hz monitors offer.

Oh and if you hate the gloss then sand paper is your answer :D

Looks like it's going to be about €380 when it's released. Kind of pricey for 1080p @ 27", but I guess 120hz would make up for it. I have a W2363D and a Panasonic G30 Plasma, so I'm pretty OK for a new display just yet, but I do hope to replace the LG soon.

Should be a truly epic gaming monitor, its got all the right ingredients. :D

Tempted to order but won't get any benefit due to my graphics card and the fact the total height is about 10cm too tall for where my monitor currently is :(

Typical. Several days browsing 27 inch, 120hz monitors, finally narrowing it down to a one I like the looks and now you say my favourite Iiyama has a one coming out soon.
Computers do my head in -.-

haha, yeah, typical is right!! lol I just cracked and bought the E2473HDS on friday. I would have waited for a review of these if I had known they were coming so soon!!

Is there going to be a 24 inch version of this? 27 inch is just too big for my available space.

so it's got a dual-link DVI, and if it truly supports a 120Hz refresh rate input i cant see why it couldnt be used for NVIDIA stereoscopic content. maybe it's just not NVIDIA 3D vision certified or something, but should work as long as you have the necessary graphics card and NVIDIA 3D vision kit i would have thought.

HI there

iiyama have agreed to give customers a £20 cashback, which shall be claimable from themselves. More details shall follow, but that now makes this a £300 monitored. :)

Just a newb monitor question if possible - Is a Dual Dvi link is only used for the 3D element? If only using this for the refresh rate then a hdmi is fine? (especially given that it has speakers?)

I only play MMO's which perhaps wouldn't be considered "fast paced" - given I have a gtx 680 would you recommend a 120hz over an ips panel for this type of game?

Thx in advance

Dannae

Had a test sample today, BF3 is simply stunning, 120Hz definetely gives a smoother more fluid gaming experience. Was simply sublime. :)
