TXAA in games

Sorry I dont deal with the police :p
Dont trust you!

Im pretty sure there are some slides and comparisons Ive seen before somewhere though, ill try and find them.

If you really want to see for yourself though.... its very simple just download the injector, copy the 4 files to your BF3 folder, and your done.

The SMAA is enabled by default, you can switch it on and off by pressing the pause/break button on your keyboard.

Compare it to 4x MSAA

It softens a reduces the jaggies on par IMO and doesnt blur the entire screen or textures, just the jaggies.

It actually reduces certain jaggies (like you sight on your gun, or any clear straight lines across the screen) better than MSAA, but some other jaggies like tree's and small objects not as well, it doesnt target the entire screen but what 'it' thinks needs to be targeted.

A very good form of post processing AA.

You can also use this in any game, just paste the 4 file into the game folder, and delete them if you dont want it anymore.
Or you can change the quality of it (from 1 to 4 I think) in the setting folder.

I don't want to see for myself. I barely see ALL that much difference between FXAA and MSAA so I'm not going to waste my time with these AA injectors. Especially not in fast paced games that I play. I just don't have time to focus on jaggies. I notice them without any AA but with MSAA on 4x I don't see anything at all.

The point stands - evidence and link your claims. Or at least edit the original post to say that it's your personal experience.

FXAA does work well and IS noticable.

My ingame footage recordings look much worse jaggy wise (the FXAA is not recorded) compared to what it did actually look like in-game with the post AA applied.

I used the FXAA injector with my 560ti and it made the game look nice (Metro was too blue though). Ultra deffo is far superior to the fx injector though.

I don't know about the SMAA injector though.

I look forward to seeing what TXAA looks like though. Also is that the Unreal 3 engine?

If you dont want to see for ourself and dont see any difference anyway then why do you care so much? lol

Download an SMAA injecotr and put it in the game you want it it, its another form of post processing and is better than 4x MSAA and also better than FXAA and TXAA because it doesnt blur the screen atall, but is only a few fps more performance hungry than FXAA/TXAA

I love SMAA, its perfect for BF3, looks better than 8x MSAA IMO

Yes, you haven't said anything about TXAA.

Your brain and eyes are the best evidence tool to use, if you want evidence so much maybe you should see for yourself ;)
But I'm not wasting my time in making a small portfolio to make you happy :p

It's not coded into games yet... It's not just me who's calling you out for evidence. But it's OK you don't have any. Just say that then :)

Easy tigers. If you have any info or links to look at Crackatoah of TXAA, I wouldn't mind seeing what it does/looks like please.

Plenty of screens provided by Nvidia matey http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-301.24-beta-drivers-released/ http://international.download.nvidi...Portal-2-FXAA-Anti-Aliasing-Comparison-1.html TXAA is ver similar to SMAA but blurs the screen slightly more, for example SMAA doesn't blur the aim dot on portal, and as you can see 4x MSAA isnt very good is a sharper image but doesnt hide jaggies that well and is a performance hog.
Like I say if you want evidence just go and waste time doing it yourself :p I just use my eyes and brain and what I see as 'evidence' Not something I could magically show you, and not something I need to either :)
