Hey guys,

did you miss me already? :) As our latest "BitFenix - Pimps Your Rig Competition" was finished quite some time ago I was thinking what we could do next in order to introduce our products better to you guys.

After we have done end user review contests for our Raider, Spectre Pro fans, Shinobi XL and Alchemy cables I think it is about time to find out how silent our Spectre fans really are compared to fans that you guys are using.

We will give 3 OCUK community members the chance to compare our Spectre fans with the current ones you are using!

How can you join this competition? It is very easy... Just tell us what fans you are using in your current build and how many Spectre fans in what size and color you require for your comparisson.

The 3 lucky winners will get picked at April 25th - 3PM (GMT+8).

Hey kul1,

First, thanks for doing another excellent compo :D

I've got an Antec Kulher 920 with 2 extremely noisey fans, so I could do a comparasion with 2 'Red' Spectre 120mm fans, and if you do them in 180mm as well I could use them to replace the standard Silvertone ones in my Fortress FT02B-W. I've also got a red theme ROG mobo, & Bitfenix braided cables, so the Bitfenix reds would look absolutely lovely :D

2 x 120mm red LED

Thanks :)

Currently using just the 3 Antec Tri-Cool fans that are noisy as anything really, and I've had so many that just stop working it's not even fun anymore, they just seem to clog up and I've not been able to fix them, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Was looking at getting some Spectre Pro's on the This Week Only deal but that's expired now so guess I'll try and get some this way. Would be after about 5 120mm Black with White LED (or just plain black) fans to complete my new rig and try and make it a lot quieter as these Antec Fans really are quite annoying :( Maybe if I won this I could put the money towards a fan controller instead!

Currently my girlfriend hates the noise it produces whilst she sleeps, help meh.

5 - 120mm - White LED

I'm using 2 Xilence Red wings, 1 Akasa Apache Black as case fans and a 1 Noctua NF-P12 on my heatsink. These are all 120mm fans. So a total of 4 fans.

I also have a single 140mm Thermalright TY-140 on my Shaman GPU cooler. I think a 140mm Pro or Non LED would work well on here as it has the 120mm fittings.

I'd be happy to look at any of the fans you have on offer. My current fans are fitted with several dozen Orange LEDs so if you have Orange that would be great. As for non LED I can take Black or White (White looks great).

EDIT:...

4 x 120mm White non LED
1 x 140mm White non LED

...or whatever part of the above.

I will test, reveiw and add the LEDs later :)

you could help me if you could add to the end the following information:

QTY - Size - Color

fo example (Spectre All Black 120mm):

1 - 120mm - All Black

Thanks!

It is always nice to hear these kind of news(although I have never won any thing of this sort ever)

I have 4 x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1450 RPM - 3 Pin fans in my 480 RAD and 2 x Arctic F12 120mm fans on the top side of my case(see build log in sig).
So I can compare these two types of fans with Spectre(s)!

Required Number of fans EDITED Below

I am going for non LED fans because I have plans to put custom lighting inside the case so I can turn them off when I use the PC to watch movies while I am in bed :p

Edit;
I didnt know you had all white
In that case

4 - 120mm - All Black
2 - 120mm - All White please :D

Haha, made a decision for you ;)

currently have 2x TY-140, 3 NZXT 120mm, 1 Coolermaster 140mm and 1 Bitfenix Spectre 230mm

so;
3 x 140mm
3 x 120mm
1x 230mm

all LED red please

if you wanted to only send me a couple then the 2x140mm in black would be fine as I can then test them just on the CPU cooler which will be a quick and easy report to write up!

Hey Kul

Currently using 2x 120mm GTs 1850rpm on my Thermochill 240 rad for a custom cpu waterloop.

Would be interested in testing the all black 120mm x2 please :)

Currently Have:

2 x 120mm (1000 RPM) Lian Li Fans, Front of case.

1 x 80mm (1200 RPM) Lian Li Fan, HDD Cooling and Exhaust.

All supplied with Lian Li V351.

So id like:

2 x 120mm (Low RPM ~ 800) Fans

1 x 80mm (Low RPM ~ 800-1000) Fan.

Thanks.

Not Worried about Colour, Prefer non-LED though.

well im using the NZXT fans i got with my phantom and they are quiet as a mouse and keep me and my pc lovely and cool so sorry ill pass cos i think it will be 2 hard for you 2 beat that.
goodluck to you guys tho

Hey Kul,

Currently using 2 Akasa Apache 120mm and 3 Scythe Gentle Typhoons 1850rpm
The 3 typhoons are on my 360 rad, one of the Apaches is on a 120 rad and the other one is mounted as an exhaust for the warm air build in the case.

Would be interested in testing 3 black and 2 orange LED fans - all 120mm.
Thanks

I have two builds I use ATM. The first is a modified Shuttle SFF PC which has a 120MM top fan(Sharkoon Silent Eagle and I also have an Antec Tricool 120MM lying around too). The system is quite near to my monitor so,it would be nice to test a quieter fan!! So a single 120MM fan with either a white or blue LED would be nice,or one of the non-LED ones.

I alsu use an Antec NKS4400 which is a relatively small ATX case. The primary exhaust fan is a 120MM Antec Tricool. A single 120MM fan with either a white or blue LED would be nice.

Currently using your standard spectres, a Thermalright 120mm and also have some 140mm Fractals, yate loons etc.

I would need:
2x120mm White LED
1x200mm White LED

I'm using 6x Xilence XPF120R Red Wing 120mm Quiet Fan, so to replace 6x 120mm (3 plain black, 3 white led) on my radiator.

I also have 3x 140mm case fans so would like 140mm all black case fans please :)

This is to go in a 800D Watercooled build :)
